NORTHERN EXPOSURE BASECAMP is a freshly updated home central to all sorts of activities. Schweitzer is just 30 minutes to the lift, Sandpoint is 4 minutes away. Springy point public beach/camp/hike/boat launch is just down the road. Silverwood is a 30 minute drive. Views of the the mountains and lake, especially from the master bedroom upper deck . Pets OK. All amenities and supplies have been thought of to make your stay easy, enjoyable and stress free. Tons to do, Gameroom and Hot tub! The space We designed and set up our property to be an all season fun family experience. We use it ourselves quite a bit, so it is always clean, stocked and in good shape. Plus, we can't leave well enough alone so we are always making improvements and adding more fun stuff to do! In the gameroom we have shuffleboard, darts and foosball as well as an acoustic guitar and bass, electric piano, cajon and a couple mics with a small amplifier for you karaoke divas (kids Looove the mics!). There is also new a 75" samsung tv with soundbar in there as well, and a record player with a few albums in a wide range of genres. Large 2 car garage with a foldable Ping pong table, as well as a custom built rack that holds 12 snowboards/skis and hooks for boots, coats etc. The hot tub room is mostly enclosed except for the entrance, and covered for both privacy and easy of use in the winter. Enter right off the gameroom. In the foyer we have a cabinet stocked with beach towels, life jackets, beach fun stuff, foldable camp chairs and cornhole boards as well as an extra overflow fridge (we use it for drinks) . The Kitchen is all new and stocked with everything you should need to cook up and serve big meals. There is a granite 8 person dining table in the dining room as well as a granite 4 person bistro table in the kitchen. The living room has plenty of seating with a pull out sofa bed, 65" new samsung TV, and various board games. Loveseat reclines on each seat. There is a gas free standing fireplace in the living room that is great after a long day of skiing! The front deck has a BBQ with a 6 person covered patio set. the main floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. One is a queen bed, other has a bunkbed twin over full. Plenty of drawer and closet space as well as luggage carriers for your bags. Lamps have USB chargers (if you know, you know how nice that is). In the master, you have a large king bed and a deck with all glass sliding door with a 2 seat high bistro table and a bathroom at the top of the stairs. We have provided a privacy screen so that if you have a large party and would like to be able to incorporate the upper master bath use for main floor guests, it can be done without losing privacy in the master bedroom. Great views from this upper deck of the mountains and lake. Master bedroom also has an electric corner fireplace and samsung TV and soundbar (my idea, my wife said no TV's in the bedrooms but she let me win one here lol). Full laundry facilities with laundry pods and dryer sheets. Large yard for running in the sprinkler, games or hanging out. Fenced back yard with dog door for pets. House is set up so you can always find a private area for quiet time, and with the "gameroom/hot tub time machine" wing, the ruckus folks have their place as well. Lots of parking area, and the 2 car garage is open for guest use. electronic keypad code lock with your own custom 4 digit code for each guest for the central foyer entrance, full house unlimited WIFI. Easy in and out during the winter as there are no icy hills and they keep the road we are located on plowed. This can be something that isn't said in some listings and can be a big headache driving down a small unpaved, unplowed road every morning to get to the mountain. The gameroom bunks are only used as beds if booked with 10 or more guests. Pet policy under "other details to note" section. We love it here all year long, and am sure you will as well! Guest access Full access except for shed where we store lawn care equipment, closets in the kitchen (plenty of cab space though, so no worries) and a small room in back for tools and maintenence items. No use of bunks in gameroom as beds unless booked 10 or more people. Other things to note Our place is a great central location for all sorts of activities in all seasons. You can be at the lift at schweitzer in under 30 mins, and silverwood in the other direction is about the same. Springy point is just a couple minutes away and has a boat launch, hiking trails, public beach and picnic areas for hanging out at the water. Idaho club golf course and restaurant is a phenomenal golf course with a top notch restaurant and is less than 20 minutes away. Downtown sandpoint has all sorts of ecclectic shops and a pretty wide array of restaurants. Garfield bay is a campground/public beach and boat launch with a huge grass area for all sorts of activities or events, and is central on lake pend oreille, one of the largest lakes in the U.S. FOR PETS: We ask that you keep the pets off the furniture and beds. We have a crate provided (in garage by ping pong table) if you would like them to sleep in the bedroom. We have provided doggy duty bags next to the back door to clean up after them please.
