NEW CONSTRUCTION! JUST COMPLETED! Enjoy your time at your private lower level full living quarters of a home. Everything is brand new. Allow yourself to be content & enchanted. The lower level is all yours with its own entrance. Herb garden outside for cooking & tea. Firepit & hammock in backyard. A 10 min drive to downtown, Summerfest, & Lake Michigan/South Shore Park/Grant Park, 3 min to MKE airport, 5 min to Bayview, & walk to coffee shop/library/bars/restaurants. 1 driveway parking spot. The space The beds have new, cotton linens and brand new mattresses. A full size washer & dryer is included in the unit. Special touches include a cedar accent wall in bathroom, hand-painted mural in living room next to gas fireplace to keep you cozy, retro fridge/ microwave/ kettle (all new appliances), beautiful countertops & sinks. Kitchen table seats 4. Space is ideal for up to 3-4 guests (1 King bed and 1 Queen bed) but one or two more people could work. If you're requesting more than 4 guests, we will communicate and see if it's a good fit before confirming booking. It's the lower level of a home so ceilings are about 8' tall. Guest access You'll have your own living quarters including kitchen, bath, living room, bedrooms, laundry. You'll enter through a side entrance off the driveway into a shared entryway, and then go down 5-6 stairs to find your own locked door (keypad) to your unit. There is plenty of grassy area with an herb garden, hammock and fire pit. The outdoor areas are shared with the people (host's family) living upstairs in the house. Other things to note Heat - you have electric baseboard heaters that you control via dials in the bedrooms, and a gas fireplace that you turn on/off via a switch in the living room. A/C - there is one central A/C for both units in the home; the thermostat is in my separate unit. if you are too cool you simply close the vent, if you are too warm you send me a message and i can decrease temp. As a lower level unit, the baseline temp in summer is around 75. The central a/c reduces it more. There are also 2 fans in the unit. There is a dehumidifier for summer months and a humidifier for winter months to help keep it comfortable.
