The entire second floor of our 150-year-old Fishtown row home is yours! 3 separate rooms make up this comfy private Suite: A spacious bedroom with TV and sitting chair, a den with a couch, dining table for 2, microwave, mini-fridge, and Keurig coffee maker, and your own giant bathroom. In the heart of Fishtown, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, breweries, as well as the subway, trolly, and bus, for easy access to the city. The space The 2nd floor Suite includes the original yellow pine hardwood floors throughout, as well as lots of modern touches. The main bedroom is spacious and clean, with a queen sized Sealy Posturpedic pillow-top mattress, plush sitting chair, and dual nightstands with lamps. There are blackout shades and a white noise sound machine to ensure a good night's sleep, and a TV connected to an Apple TV with Netflix. The den has a comfy sitting couch, a dining table for two, and a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker, Brita water pitcher, and some dishes and utensils. You'll pass through this room to get to your own private giant bathroom (13'x9'!), equipped with tub and shower, dual sinks, and a new eco friendly Toto toilet. The only space on the second floor that will be shared with us is the landing for the staircase. You do have to pass across this landing to get from the bedroom to the den/bathroom. The first floor is where our living room, dining room, and kitchen are. I ask that guests not use this space to hang out, but only to come and go. The third floor is our private space and off-limits to guests. GOT KIDS OR BABIES? My listing is currently set as “not suitable for children or infants,” but I’m happy to try to accommodate your family if I can. Thanks for understanding. Guest access The front door is equipped with a smart lock, to which you’ll have your own access code. Once inside, you'll be on the first floor in our living/dining room. Up one flight of stairs you’ll find the Suite - the door to the left is the main bedroom, and the door to the right is the den and bathroom. During your stay I enjoy a good conversation, so feel free to pick my brain for recommendations for local food, drink, or activities. But if you prefer to keep to yourselves, that's totally fine too! The Suite is a comfortable and totally private place for guests to sleep, relax, or work, so any interaction with me is totally up to you. I do occasionally go out of town for short trips. Sometimes I take my cats, and sometimes I have a cat sitter who comes to the house to feed them. If you book my place for a night when I may be out of town, I will make sure to let you know those particulars, so there are no surprises! Other things to note I have two awesome and hilarious cats. They're friendly and sociable, and will enjoy meeting you. They're not jerks, and won't be mean or tear up your stuff. They are never allowed in the private Suite, but if you are super allergic to cats, this might not be the place for you. I have accommodated guests with mild cat allergies, and none of them have reported any problems. My space is welcoming to people of ALL backgrounds, ethnicities, and identities. All that I ask of you in return is to be friendly and respectful of me, my cats, and my home, follow the house rules, and clean up after yourselves.
