A master with a California king, a room with two twins and a room with two bunk beds. Each room has ac and small shelves for your things. They are small, but comfortable for sleeping! We have two bathrooms with large showers. Please note that no toilet paper is to be flushed, this true for the entire country. There is also two outside water faucets; one for feet and one suitable to stand under for a fresh, cold water rinse. Please use our water sparingly as the town depends on the rains to supply! Our kitchen has settings for 8 and all the helpful appliances like a rice cooker, coffee maker, blender and gas stove top. The property also has another small container home(as seen in photos), this is a single unit that is currently rented out to a local friend. He is often away for work, but when there, he is a great local resource and help! You will have access to the main house. There is a caretaker of the property who lives in the next town. He and his wife (the housekeeper) are very helpful and responsive. The best way to contact them is to, upon arrival, create group chat between you, myself and caretakers. That way we can answer questions and solve issues immediately! Pavones is a remote surf destination in a beautiful third world country. The main activity in the town is surfing, however you can also take incredible day fishing or snorkeling trips and even visit Mata Palo (a remote jungle area just across the gulf). Information for booking these day trips will be provided. Although this home has wonderful amenities, it is on well water, a septic system and is on the country’s only power grid which does go out from time to time. The drive to the town from the airport is about 6 hours. The road is paved all of the way now, but there are still some large sections of gravel and pot holes. This is a surfy, jungle adventure destination that can be pretty comfortable, but due to the circumstances renters need to consider what they are looking for in their vacation and know that this area is not full of American resorts. The house has a great walkable index. It’s not right in town, but the store, and restaurants are about a 10 minute walk down a dirt road. The shortest distance to a store (Los Delfines) is 450 meters. We rent a car when we come and often use it to go to the store and head out for a surf, especially when we head to Punto Banco or other further spots. You will be glad to have a car if you can rent one, but definitely fine if you like to walk.. it’s gorgeous place to be outside!! Our home is located on 600 sq meters and directly across from the town’s maritime area. (Preserved jungle with no buildings) We are about 200 meters from the water. From the home you can see the water through a gorgeous meadow that Is often a resting and grazing place for the local, free-range cows and horses. You can walk through the meadow via a worn foot path to have picnic or walk on the beach. This is also the walk we use to get to the point to surf. When the ocean is calm you can take a refreshing swim straight out from the house.
