Peaceful campsite by the river with its own dock

Something happens to us when we take the time to just be. Living a somewhat simple life for a while without having to give up all the comforts, for that matter. Letting go of everyday worries, putting your phone away, and allowing yourself to be enchanted by your surroundings. Lighting a fire, canoeing, looking out over the water's edge from the edge of the bed as even the beaver can swim by sometimes, boil coffee and cook over an open fire. The bed will be made up when you arrive. A warm welcome! The space The tent... ... is located on a small private headland directly on Hårkan's waterfront. You are in a canvas tent that breathes so the indoor air is always fresh. In the tent, there is a double bed (180 cm) with thick duvets that are made with flannel duvet covers in late summer/autumn and slightly cooler duvet covers in summer. Towels are included. A seating area, dresser, books and board games. Glass and porcelain are available as well as a water jug, etc. And not to forget, two wheat pillows to warm up if you want to bring under the blanket when it's time to crawl into bed. Outside the tent... ... there are outdoor chairs on a wooden deck, directly next to the water's edge and the evening sun shines as long as the sun can stay up. Private jetty inside the bay directly by the tent. Cooking... ...can be done over an open fire at the fireplace next to the tent.  A muurikka and a regular frying pan are available, as well as an iron to make waffles over an open fire. A coffee pot for making coffee over the fire is available. Firewood included. Not possible on rainy days but then there is the small cabin to cook in. Lillstugan... ...on the farm can be used freely during your stay. It is equipped with a kitchenette with various utensils, a fridge with a small freezer, a hot plate, a kettle, a coffee maker, and a microwave if needed. Stove to fire for heat and to heat up water. The cabin has electricity but not running water. Drinking water is collected up on the farm and the dishwater can be collected from the river to heat over the stove. The outhouse Newly built toilet is between the tent and the cabin. Next to the horse pasture. So why not leave the door open to sit for a while and philosophize. On the farm we live Anna and Tomas as well as our animals: two horses and two cats. The horse pasture goes next to the tent site. Noises In addition to sounds from nature and the water, there is some car noise in the distance. Above Hårkan, next to the farm, the Inlandsbanan railway also passes by, with one small train in the morning and one in the evening. A small, charming feature of the environment. Tips [  ] Swimming shoes are good to have. From midsummer onwards you can swim in Hårkan but it's rocky and soft bottom in places. [  ] Earplugs. If you're not used to sleeping in a tent, it might be nice to sleep with earplugs. [  ] Light clothing and socks to sleep in. The bed is provided with thick duvets, and electric blankets are available for loan, but it's always nice to put on some extra layers before crawling into bed.  To Do Go canoeing (canoe available at the tent), fishing (two fishing kayaks available), hiking (the Högforsleden trail starts 700 meters from the farm), swimming, or simply relax. Cook over the fire, the food usually tastes much better when eaten outdoors. The Glamping tent is about two kilometers from Lits center where there is a grocery store, restaurants, gas station and more. Good bus connections to Östersund which are 20 km from Lit.
