A fisherman’s/nature lovers dream and truly unique rental experience at this creekside cottage with water frontage on deepwater Hammock Creek. Close to the beach but out of the congestion The space Watch the cranes, ducks and pelicans enjoy the water as the speckled trout and mullet swim below. This deep water creek leads out to Wolf Bay and then to the inter-coastal waterway....and then from there.....minutes to the Gulf or Mobile Bay. Great access for kayaks, a bay boat or a gulf ready center console. Kayaks can easily launch from the property. Boats from a public launch minutes away. We are approximately 20 minutes from the beaches at Gulf Shores, Perdido Key, Pensacola Navy Base and Orange Beach. 10 minutes from OWA, the Foley sports complex, Tanger Outlet, and the Florida line. And seconds away from a bushwacker at Pirate’s Cove Pull up a chair and drop a line in the little cove which is teeming with brim and bass. You can fish along the bank with access to some deep areas with very good sized inshore fish (depending on the season). On the way out of the creek to Wolf Bay is FishTrap, one of the best spec trout, redfish, flounder, shrimp and blue crab areas around. A kayak fisherman’s dream. And all you need to have the freshest low country boil or fish fry ever. Choose to have your party on the covered porch with a grill or pull up lawn chairs at a family fire pit overlooking the creek. Enjoy your morning coffee looking at the beautiful creek in the picturesque screened in porch. It is the exact opposite of the crowded and congested beach scene. This is a very comfortable 870 sq ft cabin with modern comforts. Very cozy space with a full kitchen but no dining room table as most eating is done outside comfortably. We do have a sleeper sofa and 2 extra blow up mattresses but understand that with larger groups/family it will be cozy. Other things to note Our property is meant for adults and families. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25 and will only check in the person who rents, provides their ID to Airbnb and is staying for the entire duration of the rental. We have bikes and kayaks on-site for guests to use. Guests are responsible for these items during their stay and damage or loss must be paid for if they are used and not returned in the same condition.
