It's called Serendipity west, and from September 1, 2023, you can book this brand-new home in the heart of Alba's historic center. It is located inside Serendipity, a renovated 1800s building following a project aimed at very high living comfort. Restored old walls, exposed wooden roof, bleached oak floors, designer furnishings and lights. A short walk from Piazza del Duomo, your vacation in the Langhe starts here. The space The facility The apartments are located in a building in the historic center of Alba, a short walk from Via Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza San Lorenzo where the Duomo is located. The building, dating back to the mid-1800s, has been renovated with the latest techniques to offer those who stay maximum living comfort: optimal air quality with the VMC system for automatic air exchange, an air conditioning system with high heating and cooling capacity obtained with maximum silence (Vector Control technology), complete thermal insulation of the building which means greater thermal well-being, reduced humidity and less noise pollution inside the apartments. The renovation was completed in July 2023 and attention was paid to the smallest details, not only from the point of view of living comfort but also from the point of view of design and the quality of furnishings and lighting. In addition, in some walls of the apartment the old original walls made of stones and bricks have been maintained, which combined with the wooden roof with exposed beams, the bleached oak floor, the minimalist design of the furnishings and the particular lighting designed, create truly exclusive environments. From the street, you can access the property through a pedestrian gate using a personal numeric code (apartment code) to be typed on the keypad to the left of the entrance. The same code also allows you to open the apartment's entrance door. The large windows are equipped with external sunshades that offer maximum privacy and the possibility to regulate the sunlight inside the apartment in the best way. All the double beds in the apartment are complete with orthopedic mesh, a mattress with pocket springs in seven different areas and pillows with memory foam to give an optimal rest; in addition, each bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower, accessible directly from the room itself. The apartments are equipped with wi-fi and each bedroom has a 42" smart TV In the courtyard of the property, separated from the street by a minimalist Corten gate, there are 2 parking spaces for the exclusive use of the apartments. Parking is available for a fee (ask for availability) The gate is accessible by code (gate code) Guest access The Polluce apartment The apartment is arranged on 2 floors. On the entrance floor you will find a dining area with 2 large windows facing the inner courtyard. Here you will find an oval table of 160 cm x 85 cm (mod. Tulip design A. Saarinen) complete with 6 chairs (mod. Seven) suitable for 6 people to eat. This room is transformed into a perfect bedroom simply by sliding the table under the iron staircase and opening the foldaway double bed recessed in the wall (note: the foldaway bed has a slowed safety mechanism that allows it to go down and up very easily). In addition, although it is a foldaway bed, it maintains the same characteristics as the other beds in the 2 bedrooms, in order to offer all the occupants of the apartment the same quality of sleep. The bathroom with shower is located exactly behind the wall of the bed, so directly accessible from the bedroom. Passing the sliding door in painted glass, you will find the kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven, induction cooktop and hood with external suction, the ceramic worktop has an integrated sink and the mixer has a pull-out shower. In the kitchen there is also a comfortable wooden snack top with 2 stools. Also on the same floor, you will find the bedroom complete with a small walk-in closet; the bathroom, accessible directly from the bedroom through 2 sliding doors in iron-colored painted glass, includes a large shower and separate bathroom fixtures; in front of the bed, the 42” smart TV. The minimalist double bed seems to be suspended and has a hidden light source in the lower part that gives the room very suggestive lighting. Going up the iron staircase, you will find yourself on the mezzanine, also made of anthracite painted iron, where a small sofa (mod. Solo B&B Italia model) and an armchair will allow you to relax at the end of the day. On the wall, a long shelf with steel tie rods (mod. Pab B&B Italia) completes the furnishings of this relaxation area. From the mezzanine, going up 2 steps and through the door that separates it, you enter the second bedroom, also equipped with a bathroom with shower, accessible directly from the bedroom. Clothes can be stored on original iron equipment hanging from the wooden ceiling and in the dressers placed next to the bed. The bedroom and bathroom, being in the attic, have exposed wooden beams, between which there are 2 large hopper windows from which you can admire the old roofs and medieval towers of the city's historic center. The double tatami bed in chocolate-colored eco-leather occupies the lower part of the room, while, in front of it, the old stone and brick wall is the backdrop to the 42” smart TV. Unfortunately, the room has a slightly low ceiling, but the originality and accuracy with which it was made compensate widely. Canopo Apartment The Canopo apartment is practically the exact copy of the Pollux apartment, the only difference is that, being on the ground floor, it does not have the lofted attic area and therefore does not offer you the third bedroom with its own private bathroom. The Canopo apartment offers you 1 bedroom with its own private bathroom, a living room with a round table for 4 people and a sofa (this room is transformed into a bedroom simply by opening the foldaway bed in the wall), the kitchen (see Polluce apartment description).
