Pink House Studio
This light-filled downstairs apartment is just around the corner from some of Juneau's best hiking trails, and blocks from the heart of downtown where you'll find museums, shops and bars, restaurants, bus stops, library, and the Alaska State Capitol. The 500 sq ft space is perfect for a single, couple, trio, or couple with kids (four adults works but might be cramped). There is a sleeping nook with full closet and queen-sized Tuft & Needle bed. The bed is accessible only from the foot. In the living area next to the couch is a moderately-comfortable queen-sized fold-out futon. Washer/dryer are in the bathroom along with a large tiled shower. Fully appointed kitchen--if you're missing a utensil or appliance just ask. You have your own entryway for coats and boots. Easy access with a code we'll message you on your way to town. Let us know if you have any questions about the house or area! Basin Road is the only (over-land) access to the historic Silverbow Basin and Gold Creek mining area. Today it provides access to Mt. Roberts, Ebner Falls, Granite Creek Basin, Mt. Juneau, The Flume, Cope Park, and our personal favorite: Mother Tree. The homes of downtown are quaint and colorful. Our 100-year-old house was rebuilt after a fire in 2009. From downtown Juneau our place is about six blocks away. There is a 170ft elevation gain walking from sea level up Gold St to the house (check it out on Streetview for a first-hand look). The nearest grocery is four blocks away, as is the nearest bus stop. There is a public parking lot across the street from the house that typically has a spot or two open (if not there's on-street parking). If you want to watch TV there aren’t regular cable channels but there is an AppleTV with Netflix, Hulu, and HBO.
