Finches Hideaway

This bungalow has everything you need to walk straight in and start your holiday. It is one of the most spacious bungalows with 4-bedroom areas and a large fully screened-in entertainer's deck. The deck is perfect to start the morning watching the finches hide in the grasses and end the day watching the sunset. Located on the western side of the lake it is a quite hideaway perfect for families to reconnect. It has its own boardwalk access into the lake and water-toys for everyone to enjoy. The space All Linen is provided (including sheets, blankets, bath towels and beach towels). Additional information about how to use the different appliances or items in the house will be detailed in the house compendium. Bedrooms: There are 4 bedroom areas with the following configuration. All rooms are air-conditioned. 1: Double + single 2: Double + single 3. Queen 4: Queen Please note there are a maximum of 8 people allowed. We ask for guest's reservation requirements prior to confirmation of booking. A Cot and highchair are available on request. Kitchen: The open planned kitchen, with island bench, is an entertainer's or foodie's delight. It boasts a large entertainer’s fridge freezer and is equipped with electric cook top and full oven facilities. It has a microwave and De’Longhi toaster and kettle. For coffee lovers there is a stovetop coffee percolator that takes ground coffee. Some tea and coffee options are provided as well as other sundries such as salt & pepper, oil and sauces. The bungalow uses a combination of both rain and bore water. All water for the kitchen is run through a filtration system and is fit for drinking. Balcony decking: When not in the lake this is where we would image you will spend most your time. The view from the deck is fantastic. Framed by the big gum tree it is ideal for watching the goings-on on the lake. It has a big dining table in the middle ideal for all meals and has a large flat screen TV at one end so is also perfect if you want to access your own Kayo or Netflix account to watch a game. The sound bar is great for streaming your music through (please however be mindful of our neighbours as noise travels very easily). When raising the blinds please be careful and follow the instruction card provided. Please also don’t let children hang off them. When you leave please also close them securely as noted on the instruction card. As the bungalow is situated on the water there will be some insects and mosquitoes so please be mindful and close the blinds after dusk. Some coils will be provided for your convenience but best accommodate your own requirements for insect repellent. Living room: Kick back and relax on the luxurious leather couch and read a book or watch some free-to-air TV or a movie. (Our holiday reading library and dvds can be found in the pantry) Dining room: Whilst most meals may be had out on the fully screened deck the bungalow also had a large dining table with formal chairs on one side and a bench seat on the other. This table is also great to set up board games or work together on a puzzle. (Board games and puzzles can be found in the pantry) Bathroom: Along with bath towels the bathroom will also include some toiletries. Phone coverage & Wi-Fi: There is good 4G Optus and Telstra coverage at the lake. There is no Wi-Fi supplied with the bungalow but it is avaible to purchase at the lake. If you purchase a bundle and do not use all of your data you can access and use it if you visit again. Details regarding how to set up/ purchase the Wi-Fi will be emailed as part of the instructions. Laundry: The Laundry area is only made available for guests staying for periods over 5 days. There is an outside, undercover clothes line for guests. Please be mindful of wet towels being left inside or on furniture especially the couch. Linen: The bungalow come with all linen provided including sheets, doonas, throws, bathroom towels and beach towel. Please place all wet towels into the laundry basket at the end of your stay. Water-toys: The bungalow is fully equipped with water-toys for all the family. 1 x Old town canoe 1 x Hobie kayak 3 x Large kayaks 3 x Children’s kayaks 7 x Life jackets of varying sizes pool noodles Water safety and legal requirements: Adults at all times when conducting water activities including swimming must supervise children. Life jackets must be worn on the lake whilst using the watercrafts provided. Water activities are only allowed during daylight hours. By renting our bungalow you, acknowledge that it is your responsibility, to ensure your own safety, while using the lake and take full responsibility for any incidents and you agree to waive any claim against the owner for accidents or claims arising from your water activities. Hot tub/ spa: The hot tub/spa is not included in the rental of this bungalow and is only for private use. Guest access We use a self-check in set up using an on-site key box. The key box code with directions to the bungalow will be forwarded on to you within 7 days of booking. We live rurally but will be contactable via mobile or through Airbnb messaging. Check in time is 2pm and 10am check out strictly applies (but on request we will try to assist you if your time fall outside the normal hours). You will have access to the entire bungalow (with exception to the shed and laundry room unless staying for longer than 5 days). As well as the garden on entry and the lake. Please note however that our bungalow is in close proximity to our neighbours and the land between the two properties is out of bounds as it houses the septic services. Please also note that the grassed land on the left of the property, on entry is not part of our bungalow and is strictly out of bounds. Please only park cars in the carport or on the driveway. Do not park on the street or in front or on the vacant land. Important Conditions: No pets. This is not a party house. No parties or disturbance of our neighbours tolerated. Please be respectful of our neighbours with no loud music after 10pm. We have tried to make your stay as enjoyable as possible by adding some extras, please only use what is needed and be considerate for other guest to come. Other than the holiday book library do not remove any items from the property. Any items taken off the property or for any damage due to neglect that has been caused will be charged to you. Please read house rules/manual. If you make a booking you are agreeing to abide by these rules/checkout procedures. If you don't agree please do not book with us. Other things to note Environmentally conscious: We are an environmentally conscious family. Where possible we have provided environmentally friendly options for cleaning products. Please also help save power by switching off lights, fans and AC units when not inside. We have set up bins for bottles or cans on the decking. Rubbish days are EARLY Tuesday so please leave the bin out the front alongside the roadway for pickup by the waste service.
