This unique property is centrally located off the coast hwy, just 2 hours from Juan Santa Maria Int'l Airport (SJO); close to markets, restaurants, and 3 national parks: Manuel Antonio, Carrara, and Cangreja. The space Ventanas appeals to nature lovers as well as those who appreciate architecture and design. Although the home is built with exposed concrete and has a minimalist feel, it is surrounded by natural landscaping and has magnificent views of the surrounding area. The home has an open floor-plan consisting of the living room, dining room and kitchen upstairs, which opens to a large, covered private deck. Downstairs is the laundry and guest bathroom, which leads to the outdoor shower and internal garden connecting the three bedrooms. Each home has a private pool. The property is a wildlife sanctuary teeming with a wide variety of birds and mammals. There are several different species of toucans, 2 different species of monkeys and sloths, macaws, white-tailed deer, and unique frogs like the hourglass and red-eyed tree frog! The 2.5 acre lake is home to turtles, basilisk lizards, tiger-throated herons, and an abundance of other bird species. If you are drawn to Costa Rica by its wildlife, this is the place to see it! *Please note that the property sits above the Costanera and although you cannot see the road, you will hear traffic noise from time to time (ie. air brakes from semis), especially off the back deck. Guest access Please note that Ventanas is comprised of 3, almost identical, side-by-side homes separated by gardens. Each has three bedrooms and a private pool, kitchen, laundry, living, and dining room. There is a large, covered deck off the living room with outdoor dining and seating. Other things to note -The property is located 1 mile from the beach.
