The Homestead in Sorrento

The Homestead is centrally located for travel to the Acadia National Park region , Schoodic Peninsula, Bold Coast, and Blue Hill/ Stonington Deer Isle Peninsula . The house is surrounded by forest and overlooks a six acre field. A short stroll or drive down our lane leads to your own private access to Flander's Bay, where you can walk the beach, launch your kayak, or relax on the ledges . We are 1/4 mile from the historic Blink Bonnie golf course and 2 miles from beautiful Sorrento Harbor. The space First floor has a family room with big screen t.v. with cable, fast wifi, cozy den with fireplace, office/ game room with a printer, puzzles and board games, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, full bath, and bar b que on the deck. Second floor has 3 bedrooms and a half bath. The primary bedroom is very larrge and has a King Bed and a twin bed that can be used as a sitting area or for a child. Bedroom two has a double bed, and this year(2023) I have converted the third room from a double to two twin beds. Guest access You will have access to the whole house and the grounds. This includes a private lane to the shore of Flanders Bay, and 100 acres of fields and forest across the street from the house. Other things to note Though there is a listing detail about the Homestead not being suitable for children, children are more than welcome. As a precaution know that there are no child guard locks on cabinetry and there are knick knacks on low shelves. Pets (Dogs and/or Cats) are allowed with a $75.00 fee. I do prefer animals stay on the first floor as there are carpets on the second floor that take much more attention when being cleaned. However, I do have furniture covers and towels if your furry friend is used to being where you are. I do really prefer they aren’t using the beds, but if that is an issue, contact me ahead of your arrival and I can provide more bedding.
