Our home is perfect for anyone who needs a needs short-term or long-term room. We have shared free parking in the rear yard. You will share the common spaces and bathroom. Cleaning and laundry services may be provided for your room upon request. This is a furnished room. The kitchen is under repair. As a result there are no cabinets. But you will have access to the refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The space This is a private room in a shared home in Northwest (NW) Washington, DC in a central location, with street parking, easy access to public transportation, and convenient to many desirable downtown business and leisure points of interest. Our home is an older home with standard wear and tear. Unlike some homes that are used only as Airbnb rentals this is a lived in residential home. Common spaces are share with others. Please help us keep the home cozy and budget friendly. We provide a set of sheets and towels. On occasion we contribute other items but we ask tOn occasion, we may provide a "starter kit" or contribute other items, but we ask that you purchase and replenish all other essentials you may need for your stay (i.e., soaps, cleaning supplies, paper items, etc.). Guest access Guest have access to their room and the shared bathrooms. We ask that the shared living area be used sparingly to keep the home cozy, clean, and quiet. During your stay We are most responsive via this app unless it is an emergency. Other things to note Do's: Please clear all hair from drains and floor before check out Please wipe clean counters, microwaves, and oven. Bring or purchase laundry detergent Bring or purchase paper towels Note that only the items listed are provided. Some items may be available in a "starter kit" as a courtesy. If you need additional items you are welcome to purchase or bring them. Please be mindful of these items during your stay to avoid fees and for safety and sanitation reasons, 1) Close all windows and doors locked when you are not home and when you checkout., 2) Do not allow trash to overflow. If you need additional receptacles please contact us), 3) Do wash all dishes, remove food and trash, or clean any stains from floor or counter before check out, 4) Remove hair from the drain, strainer, or floor before check out, and 5) Please return items where they were found before check out (furniture, dishes, etc). 6) Do not leave food out. Place in closed plastic or glasses containers. All other items should be placed in the refrigerator. 7) Place all food trash in the trashcan outside. Extended stays should put the trash out at least weekly for pick up. Store the trashcan inside the rear yard fence. 8) Do not smoke in the home. If smoking outside the home it must be at least 25 feet from windows of our home or neighboring homes. 9) Our space is located in a city. Though we treat the property to keep out pests including insects and mice, this is a reality of nature and having a row home in the city. Our property may not be a fit for those who are extremely phobic of such critters and "urban wildlife". 10) Do not bring unauthorized guests or pets in the home. If you want to have a pet during your stay it must be mentioned in your request and approved. 11) Don't use tamper with any mechanical equipment. 12) Remove trash from the home if trash cans are full. Please take trash to the appropriate location on trash day and bring the can back in the yard after pick-up. ------- Additional fees apply for pets, excess cleaning, missing or damaged items, and excessive utility usage.
