Beautiful holiday house in the quiet village of Ruswarp, 1 mile outside Whitby. Open elevated views across the fields towards the viaduct and steam railway. Dovedale House has been completely renovated in 2022-23. It has had a new bathroom and kitchen fitted as well as a lounge with wood burning stove, 4 bedrooms and private drive parking for 2 cars. The beach is just a 5 minute drive to West Cliff or Sandsend and a 10 minute drive into Whitby town or a 30 minute walk over the footpaths. The space Dovedale House is situated on a private road with two parking spaces. The ground floor comprises a beautiful hallway, with a separate dining room, lounge and kitchen. The kitchen has an integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, electric oven and induction hob. The kitchen also has a Grind coffee machine, with some compostable coffee pods provided. The dining room table seats six and has a wonderful view over the fields. The lounge is equipped with a wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and a Sky Glass TV, including Netflix. The WiFi is fast and supports streaming channels. The upstairs of the house has a spacious landing, with four bedrooms and a bathroom. Both king size rooms have an open aspect across the fields. The small single also has this excellent view, while the other single bed room is at the back of the house. All bedrooms are fitted with blackout roller blinds as well as Roman blinds. The bathroom features a walk in shower and a separate free standing slipper bath. The interiors have been thoughtfully updated, featuring some unique artists and designers, from the Mark Hearld wallpaper in the hallway to the Tom Frost screenprint in the lounge. The house also features many original watercolours by the previous owner and local artist, Ben Kelly, who loved Ruswarp, Whitby and the surrounding areas. The front of the property has a spacious patio to enjoy the views to the full. There are several steps up to the property so it is unsuitable for guests with mobility limitations. The front garden is terraced and unfenced to allow for uninterrupted views of the valley from the swing seat. The back garden is also terraced but has a flat decked area with outside table and seating. Guest access The entire house, parking, garden and patio is available for guest use.
