Long Pond Cottage, Country Retreat in Rhinebeck

Nestled down a quiet, country road, you’ll find this charming, idyllic retreat. Less than 15 minutes from the village of Rhinebeck, Long Pond Cottage captures the best of the Hudson Valley. This two bedroom, one bathroom Victorian sits on just under an acre of land, offering ample outdoor space to enjoy the warmer months, and is the perfect cozy spot when the weather turns colder. Self check-in at 4pm and check-out 11am. Pet friendly. The space Welcome home! Our cozy living space features plenty of plush seating around the wood burning stove, as well as a custom queen size sleeper sofa. Our mounted flat screen TV includes access to popular streaming services, and our home is equipped with gig-speed wifi to ensure you're able to work from home seamlessly. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed with everything you’ll need for home-cooked meals during your stay. Upstairs, you’ll find two separate bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the smaller with a queen size bed, as well as a spacious bathroom. For the fitness-inclined, guests will also have access to an at-home Soul Cycle bike, light free weights, resistance bands and yoga mats, located in the mudroom. Just bring your own clip-in spinning shoes! Outside, you'll find a wrap-around porch to enjoy your morning coffee, a Weber grill and outdoor dining setup for warmer months, and a wood-burning fire pit. Both Long Pond Lake and the Omega Institute are a mile down the road. Though this sweet country retreat feels a world away, it’s conveniently located near the village of Rhinebeck, where you’ll find exceptional dining options, quaint shops, and America’s oldest inn. The home is only an hour and a half from NYC by train, or two hours by car. You’re a stone’s throw from all the best the Hudson Valley has to offer - hikes, breweries & cideries, farmers’ markets, & antiquing. The charming towns of Hudson, Woodstock, Kingston, Millbrook and Saugerties are all within a 30 minute drive. We are pet friendly, but do require pre-approval if your furry friends will be joining you. Please note: our home is unfortunately not ADA accessible or suitable for individuals with mobility or balance challenges, and may be difficult for small children. The front and side doors are accessed up two porch steps which do not have a railing, and both bedrooms and the bathroom are on the second floor, up a set of steep and fairly narrow stairs. As the home is about a mile down a narrow dirt road, vehicles with 4WD / AWD are strongly encouraged during the winter months. Guest access Long Pond Cottage sits on a dirt road, about a 12 minute drive from town, and 20 minutes from the Rhinecliff Train Station. Though taxis are available, Ubers and Lyfts are scarce, so we recommend that all guests have a car to get around. Parking for up to three cars is available at the cottage. As the home is about a mile down a narrow dirt road, vehicles with 4WD / AWD are strongly encouraged during the winter months.
