Dogs allowed on request. The space Our property is located in the center of the small town of Mühlheim a.d. Donau and is surrounded by the Upper Danube Nature Park, which is also sometimes called the "Swabian Grand Canyon." With its diverse landscape, it captivates with numerous castles, palaces and ruins on the rocks of the Danube Gorge and the mountains of the Great Heuberg. The Danube Valley is an ideal hiking area for the whole year. In every season, the "Swabian Grand Canyon" presents itself with its steep rock walls in different colors. Here there are numerous premium trails, such as the DonauWellen and the DonauFelsenLäufe, and several quality hiking trails of Wanderbares Deutschland as well as an extensive hiking trail network of the Swabian Alpine Club. If you want to take it a little easier, you can also simply relax at nearby Lake Constance. Guest access TENNIS In addition to the apartment with terrace and parking space, the tennis courts of the local tennis club are also available to our vacation guests. In a wonderful location there are six tennis courts. Of these, four are clay courts for the summer season and 2 are year-round courts (quartz sand artificial turf). Rackets and balls are also available. For use, we charge a fee of 5 euros per person/hour. Other things to note The people of Mühlheim are a very foolish people with over 1000 fools. Mühlheim is therefore also considered a stronghold of the Alemannic Fasnet. In the fifth season - from Fat Thursday to Ash Wednesday - the fools drive their mischief here and let the old tradition live. Every year - in February/March - the Märzenbecher blossom in the region is a special natural spectacle. The large snowdrops, also called the "Hintelestals," the nature reserve between Mühlheim and Fridingen, are in full bloom. Mühlheim also maintains the old tradition of the night watchman. The night watchman has been in Mühlheim an der Donau for over 500 years. The tradition, which existed from 1496 to 1936, was reintroduced at the beginning of the 1990s. Tours of the night watchman take place on Saturdays and in the season (May-October) also on Mondays As soon as the trees show their leaves, the Danube Valley shines in full splendor and invites you to various hikes and bike rides until late autumn. In the winter months - with sufficient snow - the four surrounding ski slopes in Mühlheim (300 m), Neuhausen ob Eck (350 m), Aggenhausen (350 m), Böttingen (600 m), as well as the approximately 350 km of cross-country skiing trails invite you to winter sports.
