Family villa with private lakefront on Adelsö

Enjoy a relaxing vacation in a modern villa with a stunning view over lake Mälaren in a peaceful setting next to the woods. The house is just an hour away from Stockholm, located on ancient Adelsö in a south-facing bay with a beautiful, large garden. There is a private jetty, shared with only one other property, and access to a boat - perfect to go fishing or visiting Birka (a UNESCO World Heritage site) only ten minutes away across the lake. Welcome to our paradise! The space The house has all the conveniences you need, a well-equipped kitchen, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fireplace and a small sauna. Go for a swim either from the jetty or in the shallow water with a pleasant sandy bottom for small children. There is a canoe, an outdoor ping-pong table and two bicycles available. A few minutes by car or a ten-minute bike ride will take you to a tennis court, a football field, frisbee golf and and the charming cafe Hovgården, also part of UNESCO's World Heritage. A well sorted grocery store including goods from local farmers is only six kilometres away. Adelsö is a peaceful island, reached by 5 min car ferry, with many opportunities to enjoy nature. There's hiking trails and forests with plenty of berries and mushrooms during the season. Paddocks with horses, cows or sheep is a common view and add to the rural atmosphere. Whether you stay around the house or go for excursions on the island it is such a wonderful place to just be! On the way to Adelsö there are several good golf courses, padel tennis courts and the beautiful Royal Palace of Drottningholm, a perfect destination for an excursion. Guest access There are four proper bedrooms which sleeps 7 people. There is also an open big room on the second floor with one good 120 x 200 cm bed for guest nr 8. Guests will have full access to the the house, the small guest house and the garden. The jetty and the small boat is shared with one other property. Bed linen, shower towels and bath towels are included. Other things to note Parking spots for three cars are included in front of the house. The nearest bus stop is a 10 min walk away for trips to Stockholm.
