The studio cottage is on the ground floor of my Guest House “Rox Villa” with separate entrance from the garden, direct access to rooftop deck, courtyard and private beach The space Surrounded by fynbos with spectacular mountain and ocean views, offering a modern open plan kitchen/ lounge, one bedroom, bathroom studio cottage with WiFi and private access. You also have direct access to a courtyard, rooftop deck and private beach. The kitchen is fully equipped, with access to a laundry and braai facilities. Secure parking is available secured by perimeter fence and remote gate. The studio cottage is not suitable for children or pets. Guest access Located a mere 45 mins from Cape Town International Airport and an hour from Cape Town City Centre Klein Hangklip Mountain studio cottage is a sanctuary from hurried city- life where you will experience ocean and mountains on your doorstep. Driving to Rooi-Els is an experience in itself as you marvel at the beauty of nature negotiating Clarence Drive, listed as one of the most scenic drives in the world. You will need a car to explore the surrounding neighbourhoods but are able to access mountain hikes, beaches, local shop and restaurants on foot. There is ample secure parking on the property. The studio cottage has private separate access from the garden, with shared access to courtyard, rooftop deck and private beach. Other things to note Bordering on the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, Rooi-Els forms part of the Kogelberg Biosphere which has an extremely rich diversity of plant and animal life. Rooi-Els is notably known for its rock-angling, crayfish diving and spear fishing opportunities. Nature and animal lovers will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the area. If you are a wine lover, there are multiple world class wineries nearby. Rooi-Els makes the perfect sense as a wonderful holiday destination. Legislation limits light pollution to the boundaries of the property and in Rooi Els to preserve awesome beauty of the night sky, light pollution is limited to the inside of houses. Fires and braais are not permitted on beaches or Nature Reserves. Braais in residential homes are not permitted when windy. There is a local baboon troop of about 24. Baboons if given the slightest opportunity will enter homes in search of food. Keep window openings limited to 70mm and close and lock all doors and screen doors behind you ( car doors to be locked at all times). The house has baboon proof locks on all exterior windows and there is an electric fence to keep the baboons out of the courtyard area and rooftop.
