Vacation home on Lake Wägital

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The vacation home on Lake Wägitaler stands alone on a hill opposite the village of Innerthal with magnificent views of the lake and the Wägitaler mountains - Bockmattli, Schiberg, Zindelspitz and up to Muttristock all in one view. The house has been rented since August 2023. The space From Siebnen, the Wägitalerstrasse leads in about 15 minutes up to the reservoir. Immediately after the tunnel, the path leads over the dam to the house. Access from the parking lot goes slightly uphill and can be accessed on two sides. The house was built about 80 years ago and much has been beautifully preserved from that time. The house is family-friendly and offers 6 sleeping places plus a baby crib. Accordingly, it offers enough play, seating and retreat opportunities. The bathroom and kitchen have been modernized. In the basement there is also a large refrigerator for the food. The water comes from its own source, so the water pressure for showering is rather modest, but of course worth an experience. We advise against drinking the water and have therefore provided enough bottled drinking water for you. Since the wastewater is collected in a manure pit, we ask guests to use the water sparingly. The house is heated with a tiled stove which is located in the dining room. In cold temperatures, the house is preheated. Wood is at your disposal. In the kitchen there is also underfloor heating and in the bathroom a towel radiator. The windows have been replaced over time and supplemented with additional fly screens. At the outdoor seating area, there is a garden fireplace for grilling, a fire pit and also the deck chairs are ready for relaxing. We keep the house extremely well maintained and it is very important to us that you also feel comfortable. Nevertheless, it may be that we overlook a spider web or a fly when cleaning the big house. The house is in nature and the small animals can hide anywhere. Guest access The place is available to you alone. Other things to note Lake Wägitaler is located at 900 meters above sea level. The weather temperatures can be much cooler at this altitude. In addition to fishing, jogging, skating, biking, hiking, climbing and swimming, boats can also be rented. We have two stand-up paddles on site which we can also provide for a small fee. In winter, the area is known for ski tours and snowshoeing. Around the lake there are 3 restaurants which offer different specialties. In the village of Innerthal there is no shopping. There are some in Vorderthal and Siebnen.
