Mid-Century Ozark Hillside Haven on 6 Quiet Acres

Turning off of a busy highway on to the lazy curving Ozark mile drive to Hilltop Haven sets the tone for your stay. On the hilltop you'll see your 1970s ranch house AirBNB sitting on six scenic acres of Ozark countryside. Step inside to the surprise mix of soothing neutrals and mid-century modern inspired decor. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the firepit area and a deck with a view that goes on forever. There is a sound machine in each bedroom in case the peace and quiet is too overwhelming. The space The house was built in 1974 and we leaned into it's mid-century roots when choosing furniture and decor. There are two bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a queen sized bed and plenty of space to move around. It includes a closet and a dresser. The other bedroom features two twin sized beds. There is a bedside table and a closet. Full kitchen with a small dining table. A spacious living room area with a vintage large couch and two chairs. Two steps lead from the living area to a cozy den for TV viewing, a coffee sipping area and a foosball table. (There is no hand rail on the steps, and parents of small children are encouraged to pay attention to this detail when booking.) Part of the den is partitioned off to store books, toys and games. The front of the house features a horseshow drive for easy loading and safe departures. There is a RING security camera viewing the front drive for the security of our guests. The deck looks out onto 6 acres of field which we are slowly restoring to native prairie. My husband always mows a path around the perimeter of the field for those that enjoy walking. Also, there is a firepit with chairs for four people. Guest access The entire house and yard are for our guest's private access. Other things to note Please be sure the number of guests that you have booked is correct. The first two guests are included in the nightly price, but additional guests are $20 per person per night. With a maximum of four. Children age 2 and older are considered guests. There are two steps between the living area and what we call the den. It is a wide entry, so it cannot be blocked, and there is no handrail. This may be dangerous for small children, and older adults may not be able to access the den to watch television. There is a RING security camera installed to view the front entry and front yard. This is for the security of our guests, as well as the security of the property since we live a couple of miles away.
