The space Even though the wing is part of the home, you’ll find it’s set up nicely as if you have your own home. Nothing is shared. You will have your own entrance, living space, outdoor area, and kitchenette. A beautifully remodeled and renovated home with plenty of space provides a vintage feel with modern updates and comforts. KITCHENETTE we have a limited but highly functional kitchenette. You have a medium sized refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, electric skillet, and coffee maker. Additionally there is a sink with hot water and all the utensils you need. During nice weather you can barbecue but you have to provide your own charcoal. Please note there is no stove top- just the electric skillet. No additional cooking appliances allowed. SECURITY DEPOSIT: We ask a security deposit of $100 to cover for potential damages, but Airbnb does it a little differently. They don't actually charge you for the security deposit, unless there are damages to the property, proof is filed, and a claim submitted within 48 hours. ★ADDITIONAL GUESTS★ We have a full sized Murphy bed we place in the den for additional guests. Inquire for more details. We want to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. ANIMALS: NOT ALLOWED ★THE AREA★ SONORA: You will be within a mile of downtown Sonora where you can enjoy local activities listed below under the heading of "ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS." COLUMBIA is an historic State Park, gold rush town. The entire town is blocked off from traffic and you can walk up and down the streets, feeling like a scene back in the day. JAMESTOWN is also just a few miles away where you can enjoy the old historic Railtown, a State Park. YOSEMITE is an hour drive to the Big Oak Flat entrance, and an additional 30 - 45 minutes to the valley floor. The drive is beautiful, but we recommend you gas up in Sonora area and bring a picnic. MURPHYS is about a 20 - 30 minute drive through Columbia and just across Melones Lake. Enjoy wine tasting, restaurants, and shopping. ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS The foothills of the Sierra abound with seasonal activities to make your vacation unique. During nice weather, you can enjoy rivers, lakes, wine tasting, hiking, biking, and local events, such as art, music, and plenty of restaurants. During winter months, you can go skiing at Dodge Ridge or Bear Valley. Sonora has several live theaters for plays, and musical and arts events throughout the year. You might enjoy: - Saturday morning Farmers Market in Sonora (seasonal) - Year-round indoor Farmers Market in Columbia (Wed and Sat am) - 2nd Saturday Art Night - downtown Sonora - Wine tasting at the numerous wineries and tasting rooms. - Restaurant dining experiences - we know where the good ones are, just ask. - Black Oak Casino in Tuolumne (within 20 minutes) SPECIAL EVENTS: - Irish Days in Murphys (St. Patricks Day) - Mother Lode RoundUp Parade and Rodeo in Sonora (Mother's Day Weekend) - Firemans Muster in Columbia (early May) - Frogjump in Angels Camp (Third week in May) Guest access Your stay will include private and exclusive access to a large den and dining area with HDTV, Roku, and stereo. You can recline in any of the 3 recliners to enjoy 7-speaker surround sound movies or television. Enjoy a game of pool complete with music, and open air during nice weather. The kitchenette is well equipped with a refrigerator, sink and hot water, microwave, toaster oven, keurig coffee maker, and enough dishes and utensils to prepare and reheat simple meals. The patio is private with glass picnic table, umbrella, bbq and privacy fencing. Your bathroom is private and inside the bedroom and includes a stall shower. Other things to note NO ANIMALS ALLOWED. TAX and CHECK-IN/OUT: We appreciate a heads up of approximate time of arrival. Check-in is 4pm or after and check-out is 10am. Please communicate your estimated time of arrival ahead of time. If your plans change just let us know. Please come prepared to pay a 10% transient occupancy tax, which is collected separately from your reservation.
