The Library at Orchard House

The Library is centrally located in beautiful Mahone Bay. Mahone Bay is known for its waterfront, iconic three churches, and proximity to Lunenburg, a world UNESCO heritage site making it the perfect home base to explore the South Shore. Mahone bay has many shops, restaurants, breweries, hiking trails, bike rentals, waterfront activities, and more. The Library has everything you coulld need to enjoy fun filled vacation. It is located above a cafe and therfore unexpected noise could occur. The space The Library at Orchard House is located on the second floor above a retail store called Pearls Vintage, and a bake shop, Famous Town Pies, selling coffee, tea, and delicious savory hand pies among other things. There is also a lovely backyard garden for you to enjoy. Both businesses are closed by 5 pm however, the kitchen is operational various hours baking sweets and pies. This open-concept space shows off some unique features of being one of the oldest buildings in Mahone Bay, built in 1775. There is a newly renovated kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, microwave toaster oven, propane stove, pots, pans, spices, baking essentials, a coffee maker, kettle, and more. The main bedroom is a loft style, located in the main living space. There is a second bedroom with a double bed, a dedicated workspace, and laundry facilities. The library is, of course, a library indeed! There is an endless selection of books for you to read during your stay. You will find you are amidst it all, and somehow, it still feels so peaceful and quaint as we are located just off the main street. You will absolutely love it here.
