Lakeside Nature Escape

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway on a private lake near Jefferson City and Katy Trail State Park. This sail-away apartment features your own patio overlooking an 11-acre lake, access to dock, kayak and canoe. The apartment is a walk-out basement space with your own private entrance. Owners live above on the main level. The space Your 600 square foot apartment overlooks Forest Lake and gives you quick access to the dock and natural pebble beach. Your space includes a rock fireplace with woodstove insert in the ample living area, full open kitchen and dining table, private bedroom and bath. Extra bunk beds and a futon provide more sleeping spaces if your group is a bit bigger. You have a patio right outside your door equipped with outdoor furniture for a perfect coffee spot in the morning. We have a family blue heeler dog who will be about during your stay, and you might see us working in the gardens or catching fish at the dock. The pebble beach walks you right out into the lake, which you can expect is a "living lake" with underwater plants, fish and moss. The water is beautiful and spring-fed, perfect for a dip. Let us know if you'd like to make arrangements for shuttling on the Katy Trail. We will do our best to help with that if we are available. Other things to note Please remember we have a friendly dog on site, and we will be sharing the dock, lake and gardens with you. We have good Wi-Fi but there is no TV. We live upstairs, so you will hear occasional noise if we drop a dish or shoe. We are in a friendly neighborhood, so want to keep outdoor music and noise down by 10PM out of respect for awesome neighbors.
