Unplug, relax, and take in the sunset views of Mt. Katahdin from your own private, off-grid getaway on the shore of Millinocket Lake in the heart of the Maine woods. Enjoy hiking, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and wildlife viewing at the lake, or take a short scenic drive to Baxter State Park or Katahdin Woods and Waters for endless fun. THE PROPERTY IS ON THE SOUTHEAST SHORE OF THE LAKE - SEE THE SCREENSHOT IN PHOTOS FOR THE ACTUAL LOCATION. The space The first floor is the primary living space (~1,000 square feet) with two bedrooms, each with one double bed (Bedrooms #1 & #2), a full bathroom, spacious deck, and a screened-in patio. The walk-out basement on the ground floor is currently unfinished (Bedroom #3) but is clean and has one 1 twin and a set of bunkbeds (1 twin & 1 double bed) in case you need extra space. Guest access A vehicle with high clearance (e.g., SUV, Jeep, pick-up truck, etc) is not necessary but is recommended for travel to/from the property. Power boat access is available just past Big Moose Lake Inn on the SW shore of the lake. Bring your mountain bikes, ATVs, skis, and snowmobiles for other great ways to explore the area around the property. Other things to note Come enjoy off-grid living at its best with a new solar system, propane generator and appliances, and only one other cabin on the peninsula. There is no wifi and limited cell service. We do NOT currently have a dock but we do have a canoe, paddle-board, sit-on-top kayak, and inflatable kayak to use on the lake. Please be aware that in the winter the property is ONLY accessible by skis, snowshoes, or snowmobile.
