The Creek: a hidden world of natural enchantment

“The Creek” is 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home nestled on a 6 acre property in the middle of an ancient forest. The home is located in the middle of an 1800 acre nature reserve, the Pennypack. At the base of the property is a babbling creek w/ a private island & beach. You will spend a lot of time outside hiking/biking one of the many trails, swimming in the pool or petting our neighbors - 4 friendly goats. It is cozy in the winter & breezy in the summer. The space The main house is an up-scale 1960s country home that checks all of the boxes and the pool is adjacent to a studio with its own full bathroom and seating area. Per the photos, the children who reside here have no choice but to share their toys, bikes, pool floats and frog catching equipment with younger renters. We have a basketball hoop that has served plenty of half court games and, more recently, a pseudo pickleball court on the lower driveway that even the most high maintenance of pickleball-er approves. The lower field is perfectly flat for soccer and volleyball games (though, the farm animals will watch…and judge). At the bottom of the property is a babbling creek with a private beach on the other side of a private island that is great for crystal and rock gathering. Regardless of the time of year you will spend a lot of time outside on one of the 800-mile urban networks of trails connected from the base of the driveway. Our neighbors are four friendly goats and two chickens who appreciate any leftovers. It is cozy in the winter with three large fireplaces and wall to wall sofas perfectly situated in front of a binge-worthy large screen TV and breezy in the summer with multiple outdoor seating areas. Other things to note All the grocery stores and big box chain stores are within ten mins of the home and we are happy to provide our favorite local restaurants & local shops. We have a list of lovely professionals from the area that include private chefs (should you need drinks mixed upon your arrival), masseuses, yoga instructors, nature walk/birding experts and babysitters (!). The property is 8 mins from the PA Turnpike, an hour and 20 mins drive to New York City’s westside, 35 mins to Philadelphia and 25 mins away from New Hope & Lambertville.
