No cleaning fee and no 2-night minimum! Cabin 192 is a tiny home glamping experience located in lovely Kingston, NY. Cabin 192 takes you back to 1992 with: a vhs collection of classics, a Super Nintendo, Sega, and other fun activities. Warm and toasty in fall and winter and cool in summer you’re always comfortable at Cabin 192. Enjoy smores by the fire surrounded by trees in nature while also being able to enjoy a vibrant uptown district a 9-minute drive away! Minnewaska and Woodstock nearby! The space Cabin 192 is a tiny cabin located on 9 acres surrounded by trees and water on 3 sides. Staying at the cabin is a glamping experience to disconnect and recharge. Make s'mores by the fire and enjoy a "Blockbuster night" that was so popular in the 1990s before streaming was a thing with our collection of vhs classics and battle your partner at Mortal Kombat on the Super Nintendo. You will be provided a complimentary S'mores kit and firestarter/firewood. The tiny cabin features a full bed, loveseat, small coffee table, kitchenette, entertainment center, and firepit. Cell service is spotty due to the elevation but there is basic wifi. Storage is limited, so please pack light. "Bring only what you need to survive" - Spaceballs (1987) All guests are provided with potable drinking water and necessities for preparing meals either on the electric two-burner cooktop or firepit grill. The mini fridge allows storage for perishables. To operate the kitchen sink, use the foot pump and you have running water. There's a camping percolator for coffee or water for tea or hot chocolate and a vintage Mr Coffee machine with coffee provided. There are essential pots and pans for easy camping-style meals. There's also a grill for the firepit, if you feel like cooking outside. The restroom/shower is a separate structure about 15 feet away from the cabin. It has lots of natural light as it has a translucent roof and shower stall so you can shower enclosed but surrounded by the sight of tall trees(the shower stall is facing a forested area for hundreds of feet and water so it is not visible to anyone outside) The shower is a simple camping-style battery-operated shower with warm water from a refillable hot water tank and the compost toilet allow for the experience of being in nature while being cozy and enclosed while showering and using the bathroom. Fresh towels and toilet paper are provided. Firewood, firestarter, and a long lighter are provided to light up the firepit. It's very easy even if you've never made a fire before. Guest access The cabin is located on a 9 acre property which is surrounded by water on 3 sides accessible by a long driveway landbridge that has a dedicated parking space at the end of it and trail that leads to the cabin. Other things to note Making this experience accessible to New York City residents was key. Most people in NYC do not have cars but still need that occasional a weekend escape. It's accessible via Metro-North rail and free Ucat shuttle or Trailways bus to within a 9 minute drive of the cabin, from that point a taxi or rideshare takes you the rest of the way. It still provides an experience in nature yet a 9 minute drive from a vibrant uptown district.
