The Scenic City Homestead

Welcome to Scenic City Homestead! Start your day with fresh eggs from our resident chickens and beautiful views of horses grazing nearby. Guests are welcome to explore our 86-acre property, filled with open space and natural beauty. Relax by the pond, go fishing, or enjoy birdwatching—herons often visit! Weather permitting, you can also kayak on Chickamauga Creek to the north or Peavine Creek to the west. Come experience the peace and charm of farm life—we’d love to have you! The space The home has been recently renovated to capture the cozy homestead feel, perfect for a relaxing farm getaway. What makes it truly special is the location—right in front of our pastures. You can wake up and feed our friendly horses—Hank, Declan, Cassius, Worley, and Felix—or offer treats to our flock of chickens (snacks provided!). Just a short walk away, you’ll find our middle barn, where our resident pigs—Momma Dolly and her babies, Qubert and Waddles live. Looking for something fun during your stay? We’re happy to arrange a trail ride. We’d love to help make your visit memorable! Other things to note Need something during your stay? We’re parents too, so we’ve got you covered! We have extra supplies available, including a bassinet, baby monitor, and a variety of toys; just let us know what you need. Bringing your dog? We also have crates available for our fellow dog parents. Please note: while we do welcome pets, they must remain on a leash at all times while on the property. We understand accidents happen, but for the safety of everyone—people and animals alike we can’t allow off-leash pets. That said, there is a fenced in backyard where your dog is welcome to run and play off-leash! Just be sure to supervise them while they're out there.
