Description
Laurel Bend is a family-friendly campground on the Licking River ideal for large groups with children of all ages. Our property consists of 27 peaceful acres with several buildings perfect for your group! This listing is for the WHOLE campground to be almost entirely yours. We are a unique stay catering to those visiting Answers in Genesis' Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. We almost exclusively host youth and church groups. The space This listing will give you access to (3) bunk houses, (1) three-bedroom cottage and (1) primitive cabin, which will sleep up to 125 people easily. The cottage has a full kitchen and can easily cook meals for your group, but we also have dorm fridges, freezers and microwaves in each bunkhouse and the cabin. Throughout the property we have charcoal grills for use as well. You will have access to all of the property, basketball courts, playground, etc. The only other people here are our family and perhaps a few tent campers. Our bunkhouses are 1800sqft each and sleep up to about 30 each. They have a sitting area with tables, booths and chairs, plus bunk beds for kids and twins and futons that convert to double beds for chaperones. Each also has a dorm fridge with freezer and microwave, small convection oven and coffee maker. Our two bath houses each contain 5 toilets, 5 showers and 4 large sinks, as well as a baby changing area. There are handicapped bathroom and shower stalls in each as well. There are doors on the showers for privacy and safety. The cottage is a three bedroom home with one bathroom and full kitchen that sleeps 8 comfortably. Many guests will use the cottage for cooking additional meals, and housing older church members or the pastor and family while the youth groups are in the bunkhouses. The primitive cabin has a queen sized bed and essentials, sharing the bathrooms with the bunkhouses. Pricing is per the space, not the number of people. You can have campers in tents if you would like. Campers outside of the cottage will need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow and a towel. We provide beds, comfortable latex mattress, tables, chairs, games and some outdoor equipment. Guest access You will have access to the entire property. Other things to note The bathrooms are a shared space with other guests, sometimes you may be the only ones here, others we may have 200. Please be respectful of everyone. Make sure your party knows to keep all personal items with your other belongings, not leaving them in bathrooms. This property is a nearly 100 year old ministry property we purchased in 2020 and have been updating as possible. The bunkhouses have mini splits in the bunk cabins as well as in the bathrooms, but it will not cool like a house. Please do keep doors closed and turn off lights when not needed to keep cool in summer and warm in winter!
