The space 🔹 About this place We created this holiday home as the kind of place we love to find when we travel ourselves: comfortable, welcoming and surrounded by nature. A place to slow down, reconnect with family and friends, and truly unwind—without giving up the comfort of a beautiful home. Imagine... Start your morning with a coffee in front of the 10-metre picture window. The garden stretches out before you, the pool sparkles in the sunshine, and the only soundtrack is birdsong. Spend your day your own way: walk through the forest, explore the GR2 trail overlooking the River Seine, relax by the heated pool, or simply enjoy a peaceful nap beneath the cherry trees. As evening falls, gather around the barbecue while the children play in the garden. Here, days seem to last a little longer... and some of your best holiday memories are made. Welcome to the Gîte Fontainebleau Forestier de l'Abeilleur. 🔹 The property With 200 m² (2,150 sq ft) of living space, the house comfortably welcomes up to 12 guests, offering generous spaces where everyone can enjoy time together without ever feeling crowded. Bedrooms 6 bedrooms 5 king-size beds 1 twin bedroom For groups of friends or boulder climbers, double beds can be prepared with two separate duvets on request, offering extra comfort and privacy. Living spaces Two spacious 40 m² living areas allow everyone to enjoy the holiday at their own pace. The main lounge opens directly onto the pool through a spectacular 10-metre-wide glass wall, making it the perfect place to relax, chat or enjoy a movie night. The large kitchen and dining area are fully equipped for preparing and sharing real holiday meals together. The forest begins just a short walk from the house, perfect for hiking, cycling or jogging. Just a few hundred metres away, the famous GR2 trail offers beautiful views over the River Seine, passing boats, the marina and charming riverside villages. If you're lucky, you may even spot deer crossing the meadow in front of the house early in the morning. 🔹 Explore the region Within a short drive you'll discover: the world-famous Fontainebleau bouldering areas the medieval town of Moret-sur-Loing Barbizon, the painters' village beautiful castles and historic gardens And if you're planning a day trip, Paris and Disneyland Paris are both around one hour away. Whether you prefer staying close to home or exploring the whole region, this is an ideal base for your holiday. 🔹 A home... and welcoming hosts We live only ten minutes away and are always happy to recommend our favourite restaurants, markets, walks and hidden gems. Depending on the season, we'd also be delighted to show you our beehives or honey house and share our passion for beekeeping over a tasting of our own honey and traditional gingerbread. It's an experience many guests remember long after their stay. 🔹 Our philosophy We didn't simply want to offer a holiday rental. We wanted to create a place where families and friends genuinely enjoy spending time together. A place where children play in the garden while the adults share a barbecue, where everyone sleeps comfortably even during the hottest summer days, and where each guest finds their own rhythm between relaxation, nature and discovery. Charm, nature & peace... with every comfort. That's the experience we hope to share with you. Guest access You have full access to the entire house, the garden, and the private pool during your stay. Only the pool’s technical room and a small service/storage room are not accessible to guests. You will enjoy the property in complete privacy, just like at home, in a peaceful and secure environment. Other things to note The property is located in a very quiet area, ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. We kindly ask guests to respect the peace and the neighbourhood, especially in the evenings. The private heated pool is for your exclusive use during your stay. It is secured with a safety bar cover (one of the best child-safety systems). However, the pool is not supervised, and children must always remain under adult supervision. The house is fully air-conditioned and designed for comfort in every season. Maximum occupancy: 12 guests, as stated in the listing. Parties, events and outdoor gatherings are not permitted. We remain available throughout your stay should you need any assistance.
