Our comfy, pristine weekend home features hardwood floors throughout with generous-sized bedrooms and an open floor plan. In cooler seasons, walk to downtown live music and dining venues, Fisherman's Park or just stroll around town to look at our historic buildings. The space Master bedroom (queen bed) has an ensuite full bath with shower and tub. Guest bedroom (queen bed) features a full bath with shower. Each bedroom has a large closet and a desk and chair. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home (but we recommend you try some of Bastrop's great dining and music venues). Laundry room with washer and dryer. Amenities: WiFi, smart TV, linens, towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, soap, blow dryer, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, toaster, gas range and oven, waffle machine, kettle, drip coffee machine, charcoal grill, driveway and street parking. We have a huge lot - great for the kids to play soccer or throw a football. Help yourself to our vegetable garden and nuts from the Pecan trees depending on the season. The train typically comes by between zero and three times a day. You will hear it coming when the engineer sounds the horn. If you like art, go out front to spy graffiti on wheels. Guest access The historic district is pedestrian-friendly with wide side walks, street lights and nature/walking trails along the river. Our house is in a residential area and street parking is plentiful. CartsNow currently offers on-demand rides in an electric vehicle in the downtown area. Check the website for details. Other things to note The train track goes through the downtown district. The train comes between zero and three times a day - there is no fixed schedule. If you like art, go out front to spy graffiti on wheels. Train watching can be fun for the kids, but know that the horn is loud when the engineer sounds it.
