The Snug is a 100 year old Cotswold stone carpenter's barn recently refurbished to create a comfortable en-suite studio room. Featuring a beautifully restored exposed Cotswold stone wall, it has bags of charm and is perfectly located for rambling and enjoying nature in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. Close to many places of interest, quaint villages and country pubs with open fires, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The space The Snug has a comfortable double bed with a chest of drawers, two armchairs and breakfast corner with table and chairs. The bathroom is located off the entrance hall and features a walk-in shower, basin with vanity unit and toilet. There is free high speed Gigaclear fibre WiFi and an HD Smart TV with all the usual streaming apps available for guests to log into with their own accounts (please note, there are no terrestrial channels unless guests log onto their own BBC iPlayer, ITVX etc accounts). The Snug is located in an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”, between the picturesque villages of Minchinhampton and Tetbury and a stone's throw from Gatcombe Park and it's famous Festival of British Eventing (held in August). We are lucky to have a huge range of great attractions within a few minutes drive: Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons, Tetbury's many antique shops and independent cafés, King Charles III’s official residence, Highgrove, Westonbirt Arboretum, Laurie Lee’s Slad Valley and Woolpack pub, Painswick Rococo Gardens and Stroud Farmer’s Market to name a few. Further afield is the beautiful Roman town of Cirencester (about 20 mins drive), the Cotswold Water Park (25 mins drive) Cheltenham (35 mins), Bath and Bristol (40 mins). Guest access Guests have exclusive use of and access to The Snug, including a dedicated parking space outside the property. Other things to note - It is worth mentioning that whilst there is a breakfast corner (sink, small fridge, toaster, kettle and Tassimo coffee machine), it is not suitable for cooking meals. It is however, perfect for making coffee and breakfast. We are fortunate to have a great choice of local restaurants and cafés, details of which can be found in the guest book. - Please note that the number of guests specified at the time of booking is the MAXIMUM number of guests allowed to stay overnight (1 or 2).
