Head of the Holler
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful home with 75 acres of land to explore. Enjoy the newly remodeled house that sleeps up to 6 guests. The property was once a thriving farm and the 130-year-old farmhouse and two old barns are still standing. However, decades of neglect lead to nature reclaiming the land. There are several natural springs and a pond to explore. The nearby towns of Fairmont & Mannington are experiencing revitalization, with small shops & festivals throughout the year. The three bedrooms consist of a King bed, Queen Bed, and bunk (twin top, full bottom). One full bath with shower, one half bath. Full kitchen with electric range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven. Guests will have full access to the entire house Because this property is in a rural area, it brings all the charm and challenges of country living. Wi-Fi is provided, however, the internet connection can sometimes be intermittent. Cell service depends on the provider. The country also brings with it wildlife, livestock and insects. This includes deer, fox, coyote, and even the occasional bear. There are chickens and horse across the street and some of the neighboring farms have cows who sometimes go for a walk. The house is treated for insects, but keep the doors closed at all times to keep any bugs out. If you go for a hike, we encourage wearing long sleeves and pants, and using tick spray to protect your skin. This is all part of rural living and is not within our control.
