The room has a Queen size bed & a memory foam mattress, a vintage loveseat, a workspace with a leather office chair, a sleep sound machine, a pedestal fan, salt lamps and multi-colored LED mood lights. Thank you 🙏 THE HOUSE & THE HOST ********************************* Welcome to San Francisco where Victorian charm meets modern design and technology. Your stay at Wilde Inn B&B (named after Oscar Wilde) is designed exactly with these words in mind. Hello, I'm Xenia - your host. Thank you for checking out my listing. I'm a proud San Franciscan with the background in technology and product design - both of which I used to meticulously craft a beautiful homestay experience. As mentioned in my reviews by other guests, my home is *thoughtfully designed*, *quintessentially San Francisco* and *amazing* which I am really touched and humbled by. I have built my space as a "home away from home" where I could receive my dear friends who have become global nomads during the pandemic and no longer live in San Francisco. Everything in my home is intentional and put together with love: some of the items I collected over the years, others were designed and built specifically to fit this space. There is lots of Burning Man memorabilia and art by the local San Francisco artists - so my home really represents the city of San Francisco and California. I believe that great energy connects with great energy - which is why I am sharing my space on AirBnB and want more people to experience what real San Francisco hospitality feels like. You would love staying here. <3 A few things about the house: Built in 1900s, my 1000 sq ft home is a historic building with redwood floors, tall ceilings and a classic Victorian layout. This also means that some things about the house are delicate - the walls are a bit thinner than modern concrete buildings, and there is one bath and toilet (which are separate). My living room is being re-decorated at the moment. It’s open for guests but please note that I might be setting some things up in that room or receiving friends in it while you are here. Some highlights: my kitchen is outfitted to the nines with a coffee bar and helpful kitchen gadgets (see details below). There is a laundry room with a washer and a dryer. There is also a beautiful backyard with a bench on the porch and some patio furniture. YOUR ROOM [more details]: ********************************* * MASTER BEDROOM is a guest room where two people can stay and work comfortably. The room does not come with your own closet, however I will provide you with a clothing rack and a suitcase rack. * Your linens are made from Eucalyptus Lyocell by a company called Sheets & Giggles, which, in my opinion, makes the best sheets. Your bed has a memory foam pillow by Layla (top rated mattress company) and a hypoallergenic hotel pillow. Your comforter is feather/down - please let me know if you are allergic and would like a hypo-allergenic substitute. * There is a huge mirror in your room for your vigorous beauty routine - and a full-length mirror. * Mood lights - the ceiling molding in the room has a strip of LED lights, which are controlled with a remote control. You can set them to any color you like - or leave them at the white light setting, which provides great ambient light. * Your room has a sound machine and your door has a draft stopper to make it more soundproof. The house environment is geared towards a restful stay (quiet hours 10pm-9 am) so there should not be any issues with the noice, but I would recommend to bring a pair of earplugs (just in case) if you are a sensitive sleeper. * There is an oil heater in your room to make it warm during the cold months. Please mind that my historic building does not have central heating - which is why area heaters are being used. [Other areas in the house have curtain zoning to make it warm and cozy <3]. >>IMPORTANT: Dear guests, please note that the room reservation needs to be made for the number of people who are staying. If you are traveling as a couple, your reservation needs to be made for 2, not for 1. There is an extra charge of $50 per nigh if two guests are staying. Please adjust the number of people on your reservation to get the accurate room price. Thank you! Guest access CHECK-IN: ********************************* Guests can access my home without needing a key. I will share access codes with you before your arrival. Please take your shoes off when you come into the house and look for your bedroom down the hallway. >>Check-in /Check-out times: Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10 am daily. You are welcome to leave your bags in the garage downstairs if you are arriving early or if you need to leave your luggage past the check-out time (I will give you access codes to that, too). Please mind that I cannot offer early check-ins and late check-outs due to needing to observe strict COVID safety protocols and cleaning practices. WiFi etc: ********************************* All check-in instructions and WiFi information are on Airbnb, which you will have access to after making a booking. LOCKS: ********************************* Your guest room has a skeleton lock and key and you are welcome to lock your room while you are not in the house. Your door also has a shift lock if you want to lock your bedroom from the inside at night. Security-wise, this is a family home where I live full-time. All guests are either vetted by AirBnB or are my dear friends who I fully trust. My guests never had any issues with security. Other things to note KITCHEN + BREAKFAST ********************************* Breakfast is complimentary (self-serve). You will find instant oatmeal and peanut butter in the cupboard above the stove, as well as jam, bread, butter, oat-milk and creamer in the fridge. There are some fruit available (i.e. bananas) on the kitchen counter for guests to enjoy. Coffee is a serious matter in this house: there is a specially designated coffee bar. There is a one-cup traditional coffee machine, a ceramic French press (Le Creuset), a Bialetti Moka pot and a pour-over with filters in the cupboard above the bar. Coffees are Starbucks Arabica French Roast and Medium Roast by SF Coffee Roasters. There is a conic burr precision grinder by Oxo for you to enjoy a freshly ground cup of coffee every time. For tea lovers, there is a selection of herbal and caffeinated teas you can find on the kitchen counter with the classic flavors such as English Breakfast, Earl Grey, green, mint, rooibos, chamomile, sweet and spicy. There's usually a few interesting seasonal flavors too. Guests have access to a full kitchen where they can prepare their breakfast from their own brought items as well. There is a Vitamix and a single cup smoothie maker, non-stick pans (Our Place), oils and spices. Guests are also welcome to use my kitchen to reheat or serve brought foods at other times of the day. I encourage light cooking and discourage making meals that require lots of prep and time in the kitchen. You will find pretty much anything you need for preparing a quick meal (i.e. salad spinner, knives, boards, variety of condiments (i.e. coconut aminos, nutritional yeast, sriracha…). There are many food containers available to preserve your perishable items. IMPORTANT: I rarely cook raw meat or fish in the house therefore please avoid cooking with them while you are here. Please mind, my kitchen does not have a sit-in dining area, however guests are welcome to use the patio or the living room for their meals. LAUNDRY: ********************************* My home has a designated washer/dryer area which is accessible from the kitchen and can be used free of charge. Last laundry run is at 8pm daily. HOUSE RULES, ETC. ********************************* **My home is a conscious community house. There are house rules (i.e. there are quiet hours 10pm-9am, etc.) that I ask my visitors to observe so that everyone can have a great experience while they stay here. I ask my visitors to read the house rules before their arrival. >>You can find house rules on the bottom of the listing under "Things to Know" section by clicking "Show more". **My home is mostly geared towards short-term stays however I sometimes accept longer stays with international guests. Longer term stays are not available for instant booking. Please reach out to me with an inquiry for a longer stay. **I love helping my guests to have the best stay in the city, whether it's sightseeing and entertainment or for business. I'm happy to help with any travel/ transport advice as well as small personal requests to ensure your success in whatever you are here to do. Please don't hesitate to ask.
