Nestled behind the world-renowned Mon Repos Turtle Centre and 700m from Mon Repos Beach, unwind to the sounds of the ocean and songs of birds whilst viewing picturesque sunsets behind the heritage listed South Sea Islander rock wall. This beautiful and well-equipped private accommodation is located between Bargara and Burnett Heads, with easy access to amenities and local tourist attractions. Maximum of three adults, or two adults and two children under 12. The space Your private space is separated from the main residence by a solid wood door that has a privacy lock. Whilst we ensure your privacy during your stay, we do love to meet our guests and ensure you feel welcome in our home. If time permits, we will invite you to have dinner with us. - Wake up with a beautiful garden view. - Queen bed with medium firm mattress and cotton bedding. - Double sofa bed. Please note this is quite firm and 136cm wide. - Adjoining bathroom, which opens out to a three-acre backyard. - Kangaroos generally visit daily, usually in the morning or after 5:00 p.m. - 40-inch smart TV that streams Disney Plus. - Fully equipped kitchen. - Tea, coffee and breakfast supplied. Breakfast - Locally made granola. - Locally made artisan sourdough bread. - Standard cereal options. Doing our bit for the environment - 6kw solar system. - We supply our own water via tanks; a bore is used to water the garden. - A small orchard, which includes mango, macadamia, lime, and mulberry. The surrounding area - Cycle or walk the scenic path that takes you south via the nature reserve to the popular tourist destination of Bargara. - Cycle north through the national park and along the oceanfront to the peaceful seaside town of Burnett Heads. Local attractions: - The beautiful Bundaberg Port Marina is a 12-minute drive, and from here you can board a boat to the southernmost part of the Great Barrier Reef and the spectacular Lady Musgrave Island. - Turtle Encounters from November to March; - The Barolin Nature Reserve is at the end of our street, and comprises 300 hectares of natural bush, grassy plains and wetlands; - Visit historic Bundaberg itself; - Blend your own rum at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery; - Taste craft brewed premium soft drinks and discover the secrets of Bundaberg Brewed Drinks at The Barrell; - Taste local macadamias at Macadamias Australia; - Enjoy multi-award winning The Windmill Cafe Bargara; - Pick strawberries and enjoy delicious ice cream at Tinaberries. Guest access You will have your own private entrance. Enjoy your own bedroom and bathroom. Shared kitchen, which is well equipped and includes your own pantry. During your stay We love meeting our guests! Please reach out in advance if you would like to join us for dinner one night of your stay. We just ask for a contribution to the cost of food. Other things to note Bedding: 1 x queen bed, 1 x double sofa bed. Please note: sofa bed is firm and measures 136cm wide. Suitable for two children under 15 or one adult. We are not on mains water and supply our own water via tanks. We ask that you please be mindful of water usage.
