The living area includes a queen-sized bed on an antique metal frame and an electric fireplace. Please note that there is a flight of stairs leading to the entrance. Lavender bubble bath is provided, and a custom-made tub caddy can hold your books, tablets, candles, and wine glasses while you relax in the antique claw foot tub. The cottage is charmingly decorated with antiques, nautical-themed accents, historical pictures, and paintings. This is why this unit is for ages 21 and over only please. Additional amenities include pet-friendly accommodations, locally roasted coffee, pots and pans, wine glasses, LED bath candles, Roku with 200+ live TV channels and 1000's of movies, WIFI, filtered water, board games, beach towels, and antique decorations. Built in 1926, this cottage has sloping, low ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom. While there is no stand-up shower, the antique claw-foot soaking tub does have a handheld shower. The ceiling height is 7'2" with sloping ceilings in some areas, making the ceilings shorter in the bathroom and kitchen. Clearance around the toilet and between the toilet and tub is limited. It offers old-world charm and construction at its finest. The outside common area includes covered seating under the gazebo with a high heat output propane fire pit, giant connect four and the popular game cornhole(not available in winter). A few doors down is North Jetty Brewery, known for its locally brewed award winning beers, they are a family-friendly establishment until 6 PM. Our central location on the peninsula places you 0.6 miles from the beach entrance, a short 11-minute walk or drive. Tide pools are located south of the entrance. Cape Disappointment State Park and North Head Lighthouse are approximately 3.5 miles away. Located in Seaview, the property is within walking distance to the beach, the 12-mile Discovery Trail, various restaurants, and unique villages along the 27-mile peninsula. Captain's Cottage is part of the Historical Enchanted Cottages by the Sea, established in 1882. The complex comprises four units across two buildings: the upper-level Captain's Cottage and three additional cottages. These include Sandpiper, Hollyhock, and Serendipity. Please be advised that access to this unit involves stairs. Captain's Cottage is situated on the upper level, above our Hollyhock unit. Hollyhock is a one-bedroom, eclectic-themed cottage, complete with a kitchen and accommodates four guests. For larger groups seeking more space, Serendipity, the main house constructed in 1882, is an excellent choice, sleeping six and boasting original stained glass throughout. Outdoor only cameras around the property and a few ring doorbells in case you get locked out or your phone doesn't work you can reach us with the ring doorbell. Guest access We use what we call a *Boarding Pass* that is sent to you after booking to provide a easy guest experience. Boarding Pass contains all your check in information, smart lock codes, guidebooks and parking information. It is your all in one guide to our property. We are required by state and local laws to collect guest information and a photo of your ID. This is easy to do in the Boarding Pass link we send you. You will need to sign a waiver/pet agreement to stay with us. If you disagree with our waiver/agreement cancel within 24 hours of booking or within the cancellation window to avoid cancellation fees. We use a 3rd party to be in compliance with state and local laws for guest information and photo ID. Enso Connect is an official Verified Airbnb partner. Other things to note Limited on site parking but plenty of street parking. We have dedicated parking spaces, please only use your dedicated spot labeled "Captain's Cottage". Extra vehicles have lots of room for parking on the street. Shared yard spaces with other guests. Three other cottages located on the property. Dogs under 100 pounds allowed, pets are an additional $30 fee per stay. Max of 1 large dog or 2 small dogs under 30lbs. If you want to bring 2 large dogs or 3 small dogs the pet fee will be doubled. We will send you a payment request that must be paid before check-in. Must be people & dog friendly because of the shared courtyard space with other guests and dogs. The kitchen is good for light cooking due to size and ventilation. If smoke (cigs or pot included) or heavy odors are detected in the cottage, a up to $200.00 cleaning fee could be charged to remove residual odors. **You are responsible for your pets. Dogs only and they must be current on vaccinations. If your dog has fleas you can be charged up to $500 for pest control treatment of the unit. You may also be charged for any cancelled reservations due to treatment time** Undeclared pets will result in immediate cancellation.
