This 2,465 sqft. historical home has has undergone many renovations throughout its centuries-long history, and continues to undergo restoration but is a functional and livable space. Located in the quaint little town of Rohrsburg within the Pocono Region, it is within 20 min. of Bloomsburg, Danville, Ricketts Glenn, and prime NEPA trout fishing streams. Please read additional listing descriptions and availability of amenities carefully. The space The home includes a first floor with a large open concept kitchen/dining area, a large family room. The second floor has 4 bedrooms (1 small, 3 average size) and a shared bathroom w/tub. Laundry w/ front-load large capacity washer and dryer. Please pardon the progress (including a little dust here and there and some unfinished spots)...Upkeep and renovations continue to be completed including minor improvements. In the future we hope to offer a master bath with walk-in closet currently under construction, and not yet ready for guests. (There is also a 3/4 bath downstairs with standup shower, however it is only accessible by walking a few short steps through an unfinished—-no drywall on walls—-room attached to the family room, so we are not currently offering it for guests to use through the listing.) Guest access Guests have access to the main area of the home. They are welcome to use the backyard, deck, fire pit, grill, Blackstone, and pool. We also have outdoor games available that can be made available free of charge upon request! There is an addition to the house that is still being renovated and is not accessible to guests at this time. Other things to note Hi! As mentioned in other categories of the listing we are STILL RENOVATING!!!!!!!!!! The good news about this is that you will experience new features and finishing touches no guest before you was able to experience 😊. With that exciting news behind us… guests in the past have not read descriptions carefully and have left reviews that reflect their disappointment. They were sad, and so were we. We love our home and don’t want you to be disappointed too…so here are a few things we want you to know. 1. It looks like we have central air because ducting has been installed in some spaces but it hasn’t been hooked up yet (pending completion of additional spaces still under construction) However, several window units currently to provide air conditioning and keep the home very comfortable. There is one window unit in each bedroom and one in the downstairs living room. If you want/need it in a space that doesn’t have a window unit, we would happily install an additional one for you, just please reach out! (Also, nights are usually cool, you are welcome to open up the windows in the evening and take in some fresh country air!) 2. Yes! Fresh country air, we love it…but hey, not everyone does! Country life has a different smell and sounds, and…well lots of other great things too! However, we do recommend that you check in with everyone in your party to make sure they are looking forward to the relaxed cozy atmosphere and crickets chirping in the breeze🎶…with the caveat that the nearest shopping center is about 20 minutes drive over rolling hills, past pastures of grazing livestock, and through the lovely countryside. 3. All interior doors are original and do not lock (with the exception of the bathroom) 4. We enjoy hosting and would like you to be comfortable. We also are grateful for your feedback to make our home more comfortable, like adding grab bars, or letting us know that the last guest removed listed items. We try our best to inventory frequently, but these things happen, please be understanding and reach out, we’ll get you what you need right away! We value your feedback and take it seriously!
