Rustic cabin on a small wooded lake in Cumberland, WI. Has everything you'd want and need! Cozy with an insert gas fireplace, TV, equipped kitchen, sunny porch, lake access, fire pit and spacious deck. Summer/Fall - near a bigger recreational lake and a nice golf course, both within a mile. Winter - ice fishing, cross-country skiing with lighted trails, snowmobile area. There is a fire pit right by the lake which is lovely when the sun is setting. There is plenty of wood to burn. The cabin isn't toddler proof but infants would be fine. I have a gate blocking the stairway downstairs. Not an ideal cabin for toddlers and very young children. Infrared Sauna Driveway in Winter - 4 Wheel Drive needed. You can always park on top and walk 50 yards. Fishing Boat - $20/day extra cost and upon approval of host You will leave this extra cost as cash or check when you leave the cabin. I will be available by phone throughout your stay. Call whenever you need. Near a nice golf course and a bigger more recreational lake. In the winter, 7 miles away is an extensive cross-country ski area, some of which is lighted. Cumberland is a cute, small town with a grocery store, small shops, and several restaurants. You will not be near public transportation. Love Dogs, and ONE dog is welcome, however ….. dogs are an extra cost of $25/day. You will leave this extra cost as cash or check when you leave the cabin. Also, your dog will need to meet these requirements before you book: You know your dog absolutely will not "mark" or pee on things in the cabin - some dogs will mark their territory or other dogs’ territory. If you are not sure they will not mark, please don’t bring them. Your dog cannot be a big shedder - sorry, but I’ve had a few experiences with guests misunderstanding this factor. Dog hair impacts the experience of other guests, not to mention a lot of extra cleaning. You will kennel your dog - if you are leaving the cabin without your dog. Your dog is on tick/flea treatment like Frontline or NextGuard. Lastly, you will need to keep your dog on the cabin's property outside - the neighbors have let me know they do not appreciate strange dogs on their property. You will need to watch your dog outside and keep them on the cabin’s property, as best as you can knowing you don’t know the property lines - it’s an acre and some so they have plenty of space to run. Please Note: There is an indoor wood fireplace that is locked because it is not usable. The gas insert fireplace is small, but puts out plenty of heat.
