Greetings from The Island! Our newly renovated home, sweet home, is located in the heart of Galveston. Its central location is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing beach getaway. Tu Casa is only five blocks to the beach, a quick drive to the historic Pleasure Pier, and a few miles to The Strand and many other popular restaurants and attractions. The space Our cozy beach house has been thoughtfully designed with you and yours in mind. Every inch of this three bedroom, one bathroom home has been remodeled with the concept of maximizing its space and creating an open layout in order to meet all of your coastal vacation needs. This property can comfortably host eight guests with plenty of room for gatherings. The neighborhood is clean and well maintained, and the surrounding homes are beautiful and updated. Our home is also within walking distance and only four houses from Galveston College. Its midtown location is, truly, the best part! Just minutes away from everything that Galveston has to offer. Come and enjoy a place of calm and serenity. Let the waves roll in, and the worries wash away. - BEDROOM #1 - This nautical blue bedroom has the best lighting in the house. There is a comfortable queen size bed as well as a designated study/work area equipped with a desk, rolling chair, and desk lamp. - BEDROOM #2 - This bedroom gives off a warm and calming vibe. Sink into a spacious king-size bed with foam mattress. This room also has a sectioned off reading nook with an oversized sofa chair for lounging and relaxing. - BEDROOM #3 - This fun and kid-friendly bedroom contains a smart TV with streaming capabilities and an abundance of board games and books for different ages. There is a full-size bed and a custom-built bunk bed with regular twin size mattresses. This bedroom is located on the opposite end of the other two bedrooms and common areas, which will provide optimal noise control and privacy. - INDOOR LIVING - Our coastal comfort living room space offers a big flat screen smart TV. Enjoy streaming from Disney Plus, HBO/Max, Hulu, Netflix, and Peacock while lounging on a cozy sectional couch for movie nights. Indulge in delicious meals with your family in our intimate dining room that seats eight. Our kitchen is completely remodeled and fully equipped to make you feel right at home. - OUTDOOR LIVING - The front porch offers a peaceful conversational seating area that's perfect for a cup of morning coffee or a glass of evening wine. Start your day off by capturing the coastal sunrise and embracing the brisk morning fresh air. Our backyard patio provides a huge area for entertainment. There is a Char-Griller Acorn grill for barbecuing and a custom-built farmhouse picnic table for dining. Play a friendly game of Cricket (darts), Horseshoe, or Bocce Ball while enjoying Galveston's cool breeze. After a fun day of catching some sun, salt, and sand at the beach, you can rinse off in our decked-out outdoor shower located in the backyard. Guest access You will have access to the entire home, except for the garage. This property is completely fenced for your privacy. The front driveway is a single car parking space. This private home is situated on a corner lot, so there is plenty of free street parking in the front and side of the property. Nicely shaded areas for street parking can be found on the side. For your electric car needs, there is a 240V NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging. This charging station is located near the single car driveway, to the left of the garage, and under the black mailbox. However, you will need to provide your own charging plug. There is a combination lock on the outlet. The code will be issued on the day of check-in, per guests' request. Additionally, there is a gated second driveway on the side of the house to provide the option to park your boat or other floating water vehicles. Please do not park any cars in this dirt driveway. It is specifically designed and designated for boat parking only. The dimensions are 8ft x 35ft. When the dirt driveway is not in use for parking, it can double up as a large sand pit and transform into a fun game of Horseshoe or Bocce Ball. My husband, Danny, and I purchased this old yet charming 1960 property in December of 2021. Danny has been an architect for 2 decades now, and his passion has always been to design and remodel residential homes. He also has had many years of construction and project management experience under his belt. Not only is he a gifted architect, but he is also an avid and devoted fisherman. So, the idea of completely renovating a home in a city so big on fishing was my husband's absolute dream come true. His dreams quickly became my dreams. Not to mention, our 3 small boys enjoy the beach, are obsessed with swimming, and also love going fishing. I, too, have secretly longed for a vacation home along the coast. I wanted a place to escape to when life's busyness starts to take over. I needed a place to decompress. So, to me, this was a no-brainer. What was supposed to be a smaller project snowballed into a huge project. We ended up gutting the whole property and completely remodeled it. For the past year and a half, we have been commuting back and forth to Galveston on the weekends to do the renovations by ourselves. Danny worked endlessly, learning so much in the process. You will find many custom pieces designed and built by him in our home. Our little family of five has invested so much love, time, sweat, and tears in this home. It truly is a labor of love. We now have a safe haven to take our family for quick getaways and embark on this journey as your hosts. We come here often to unwind and spend uninterrupted, quality family time together. We absolutely enjoy the simplicity of coastal living. There's something so therapeutic about soaking in the sun, sinking in the sand, and feeling the ocean's breeze rippling through your hair.
