This weekend getaway is situated on a quiet gravel road 8 minutes from the quaint shops and restaurants in the Village of Andes. The property features picturesque mountain views that may be enjoyed from a screened-in porch as well as a large pond, and hiking trails. This is also a great winter getaway. We are about 25 minutes away from Belleayre ski center and two other ski centers are close by. The space The spacious wood-paneled living room features a gas stove, picture windows overlooking the mountains, cozy couches and plush chairs, and plenty of books. There is a projector and large screen for watching movies and TV. The dining room has a cabinet full of board games and a formal dinner table perfect for meals with friends and family. The kitchen has everything that you need to make most meals, including spices. The master bedroom features a brand new king bed, breathtaking mountain views, and ample space. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is the quietest room in the house. The kids' room features two sets of bunk beds (sleeping space for 4 children). A highlight is a nicely furnished screened-in deck overlooking the lawn and pond. There is also a second small deck off the kitchen with a BBQ and a picnic table. The property consists of 16 acres that includes a pond, two creeks, and plenty of lush forested settings to explore. Additional hiking is available on public lands less than half a mile down the road. We normally work from home and there are two dedicated workspaces in the house (in bedrooms), including one with a nice background for Zoom interviews. We also have an Ethernet connection cord for when higher video quality is needed. Other things to note: There is no cell service at the house. There is WiFi access in the house which works for calls for any phone that has voice over WiFi access. We don't have cable, but we have a DVD player (and a few DVDs) and you're welcome to stream from your phone/computer via casting. There is also a small TV connected to an old-school Nintendo Wii with Rock Band. The house is appropriate for children age 4+. The no pet policy and no smoking policy are very strictly enforced. The house is not wheel-chair accessible. There are a few front steps and some doorways are narrow. Please message us with any questions. We live in the woods and there are a variety of animals and bugs. Some of the bugs bite, particularly black flies and other seasonal flies. We highly recommend the property to people who comfortable with being in the woods. It is currently bow-hunting season, so we require that all guests wear orange safety vests when hiking in the woods. We provide plenty of vests. Guest access You will have access to the entire house except the basement and a couple closets that we reserve for our personal belongings. We live here most of the time, so we do have some of our belongings in drawers and on shelves. The house is always clean and clutter-free.
