Lake life in a quiet idyllic setting to relax and enjoy the GREAT views from every window on the back of the house, yet be close to University of Oregon / Autzen Stadium and all that Eugene has to offer. With a sauna, screened in porch and big deck, you can't go wrong. Boredom is not an option! With numerous wineries and craft breweries within twenty minutes, keep busy or not! Situated right off Hwy 126 makes getting out to the Oregon coast easy. No parties or loud gatherings please. We have stayed at almost every Airbnb in the area, and were frustrated by the lack of amenities that the various properties offered so we purchased this fun lakefront cottage and furnished it like we want it when we visit our grandkids. All of the furnishings and artwork are brand new. As a super host of another property, we knew exactly what we needed to make your stay comfortable. Note: Fern Lake is seasonally full and available for watersports typically from April through late September. Boat launch is only .5 miles away, Please read full listing for water access information. Upon entering the cottage, you see the large main open living area with tons of natural light. The dining table seats 6 and is great for game playing. The three bar stools at the island are perfect for casual dining or additional seats. There is a comfy couch, huge window seat with big pillows, and chairs and ottoman for socializing and just hanging out in front of the fireplace. The Smart TV is visible for the whole living area. We provide games, cards, and puzzles for your use for those lazy days where you don't want to leave the cottage. This cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with all of the utensils, pot and pans, and appliances you need to cook or bake up a storm in the gas range/oven. There are plenty of dishes and cookware so you are not constantly running the dishwasher. The main bedroom has a king size bed, large walk-in closet, and double vanity bathroom. The large shower has two heads. Start or finish your day in the 3/4 person Finnish sauna located in this bathroom, complete with bluetooth speaker. There is a desk in this bedroom as well. The second bedroom , with queen bed, is at the front of the house off of the entry situated nice and close to the 2nd bathroom, complete with jetted tub. The loft area is large, with another desk (with amazing lake view), reading chair, workout space, and king bed. We provide hand weights, Bosu, exercise bands and ball, loops bands and yoga mat for your use, stored conveniently in the loft closet. Grill and dine out on the back deck or hang out in the screened-in living area complete with comfy sofa and chairs. From the back deck, you can access a walking trail right out the backyard on US Corp of Engineers land. Please respect our no parties policy. Starter supplies of kcups, toilet paper and paper towels provided. You may also find tea and coffee. There are several spices, olive oil, balsamic, salt, and pepper to cook with as well. Note: the lake season is typically April-ish to October-ish. Consult Fern Ridge website for details. Book now! You have full access to the cottage and yard. The garage is for owner use only. The boat dock and the small park in front of it that you see in the pictures is private and not for guest use; however Perkins Peninsula boat launch is only .5 miles away. Immediately to the right of the dock gate is a narrow area for launching kayaks and paddleboards. Remember the dock and boat area are off limits. We are happy to help in any way that we can! This is a great lakeside community with close ties. Most of the residents are retired and everyone is very friendly. Fern Ridge Lake is typically full from April through early October. It is usually about 11 feet in the deepest area. During winter months, the lake is usually empty. You definitely need a car to get around this area. By car, you are about 5 minutes to the closest grocery/liquor store and about 10 minutes to Walmart and Target. Walmart delivers groceries to the area which is very convenient. To get to Autzen Stadium for football games, the best bet is to drive to Lane Events Center and take the $5 round trip bus. Way less hassle than driving! Child friendly with a high chair, bath chair, fireplace guard, children’s plates/bowls/cups, safety plugs, and pack/play. We do not recommend the use of the fireplace as we have not proven its effectiveness. Note: this neighborhood has a lot of retired people who will help us enforce our no-parties rule.
