The house is located on the Saale island of Gottesgnaden. Here the lock keeper lived and worked with his family. Today you can relax here on the 7x4 m terrace, make yourself comfortable in the great kitchen with fireplace, enjoy the river landscape, fishing, standup paddling or chill in the approx. 1000 sqm garden. The house is a single monument and belongs to the lock. The lock is in operation and is maintained and serviced by the Water and Shipping Authority. The space The lock house has a very nice kitchen with access to the large terrace. From the kitchen window you can observe the lock chamber and see which boats are currently using the lock. The antique drop-leaf table offers plenty of space. Right next to it is a cast iron stove for cozy evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped. We have installed the ceramic hob and the oven in an old industrial workbench. In addition to the large kitchen, there is a small room, a small cozy retreat. The huge wooden terrace overlooking the lock's forecourt can be entered from both the kitchen and the parlor. A small staircase leads from the terrace into the approx. 1000 sqm garden. In the house there is a bathroom with toilet, shower and sink downstairs and upstairs. The 4 bedrooms are located on the upper floor. From here you have a beautiful view of the lock or the garden and the Stephanikirche of Calbe with the brick portal, the southernmost building of the North German brick Gothic.
