The Orca - Waterfront Suite w/ Private Hot tub

Walk on waterfront suite with panoramic ocean, island, and mountain views. The suite is a bright and open concept 750 sq ft upper unit, with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, plus a pull out couch in the living room. It features all new appliances, A/C, smart TV, and 300 sq ft private deck, with a 2-person hot tub all to yourselves. The deck is also set up with a conversation patio set, propane fire pit, and BBQ. The house is located at the end of a private rd, and the property is fenced and gated. The space We are located at the end of a private road on a peninsula in Chemainus, BC. The property is South/East facing, and looks out at Thetis, Salt Spring, and Penelekut islands, three of the southern gulf islands. The property is fenced and gated, with forest behind it. There is a fuel dock located at the end of the property, along with a log sort on the other side of the peninsula; you may hear the occasional truck drive by and/or mill equipment in the distance. Being pet owners ourselves, we are open to accommodating guests with pets. We kindly ask that you take your furry friend off the property to do his/her business, and please try to keep them off the furniture the best you can. Dog towels can be found in the bench by the door. Continued barking/whining/howling will not be tolerated. Thank you for respecting these rules. Dog towels are provided. Our dog, Pip, is often outside, so if you or your dog need some separation I have placed a gate that can be set up part way up the stairs to the suite. The hot tub is all yours, however we ask that you please be respectful of noise at night time, as there are kids in the house below. The hot tub is considered "closed" at 11:00pm, to respect the people below, as well as neighbours. Plastic cups are provided, and we ask that you please use these for outside/hot tub use. Hot tub towels and towel robes are located in the bedroom closet. The hot tub is on a timer, which turns off between 11pm and 7am. This is due to the sound of the pump turning on and off during the night (some guests have commented that the hot tub was keeping them awake). If this won’t both you I can turn the timer off. We live downstairs, and we have three kids, a dog, a cat, three bunnies, and 4 chickens. We do our absolute best to respect our guests, however we are a lively household, so I want to be upfront that you will likely hear children playing, and of course crying, because not every bedtime can go perfect and kids seems to fall more often than they should. Thank you in advance for understanding. Guest access You have full access of the 300 sq ft private deck, which is furnished with a conversation patio set, propane fire pit, hot tub, and BBQ. Propane is provided, however if we feel that you are abusing the fact that propane is provided we reserve the right to no longer offer this option. You can access the ocean via a gate at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the suite. Please be careful as it is sloped, and the grass can be a little slippery, especially mid summer when it is dead. Other things to note Basics such as Toilet paper, paper towel, coffee/tea, sugar/spices, toiletries, etc are provided in the suite to get you started (approximately enough for 1 week). Longer term stays exceeding 1 week are required to top up items themselves, unless a cleaning service is scheduled. Cleaning services are available during your stay for a reduced rate of $50/clean; this will include sheet/towel swap, bathroom clean, vacuum, and general tidy up of main living area and top up of supplies. Please message to arrange these services. Long term stay discounts are as follows, 1 week = 20% discount, 30 days = 45% discount. Please note, the maximum discount during the summer months (July and August) will be 20% - please contact directly if you wish to discuss further.
