Stylish Shepherds Hut with stunning views

Set in our 1 acre garden with gorgeous views over Kinsley Wood & Panpunton hills in the Welsh Marches town of Knighton. ‘Malarkey Manor’ is an 18’ Shepherds Hut that we built from a bespoke kit March /April of 2023. The main house featured in the BBC 1 show Escape to Country in September 2022, as the team found it for me! It has featured in the revisit including the hut in I Escaped to the Country - BBC 1 Jan 3rd 2024 3pm.  *This is an adults only venue not suitable for babies or children* The space There is a ring doorbell on the gate with a camera. From the driveway of my house (plenty of parking) you will step into your own private space through a gate, up 3 steps onto the decking leading to the decking. The interior dedicated to sleeping and appreciating the wonderful view. The eco wooden bedframe and a Simba mattress are to the highest standard to ensure you have a comfortable and restful sleep, the bedding is all hypoallergenic using the softest linen Two comfy armchairs are opposite the double glass doors to appreciate the view. A pair of binoculars for your use sits on the table together a couple of bird books, as there is a wealth of wildlife to appreciate. There is also a small very efficient oil radiator, one in Malarkey and another in The Office for your use in chilly nights.   Outside on the decking are two chairs and a small table for your early morning tea and all important Gin & Tonic as the sun sets in the West and in the small grass area next to the steps you will find 2 loungers to relax on. The cushions are kept in The Office for the warmer months. There is a light on the decking and a sensor one for night-time over the steps, it is all eco friendly and uses LED.   Just 5 meters away are the newly fitted out, food prep kitchenette and Shower room both dedicated spaces for you.   There will be tea, coffee, sugar, a jug of milk, eggs, bread, butter for your arrival in the food prep area. Here you will find a table and chairs, an Airfryer rather than a conventional cooker and an electric tabletop double hob, Toaster, Microwave and of course kettle for your cuppas. There is a decent sized FridgeFreezer which will have plenty of ice ready for your drinks! All other food prep and crockery/glasses essentials are also of course provided. Please let us know if there is anything extra you need.   This space is also perfect to store extra luggage rather than leave it in the Manor.   Next door is the Shower Room with an Electric Shower to ensure you have hot water just when you want it. A Heated towel rail, light up mirror and Hairdryer are provided along with Hand wash, Dove Body wash and Shampoo. There is also the use of a washing machine if necessary, please just let one of us know.   We have just had 16 panels of Solar fitted to the house so the Manor also enjoys this provision as part of my wish to be as eco friendly as possible.   You will be able to soak up the panoramic views over the roof tops of Knighton to the tree clad Kinsley Wood hillside across the valley. The garden attracts many small birds and we are actively planting with an eye to attracting bees, butterflies and more.  Red Kites are often seen circling overhead lazily drifting on the air currents. Guest access Your stay is in Malarkey Manor and directly outside just a few meters away over our driveway is the food prep kitchenette where you can chill out and make a meal and another 2 meters you will find the large Shower room. Other things to note I have a small cakes and desserts business I run from home so if you would like anything during your stay, please let me know. I can serve you breakfast, pastries, a cake or two, dessert, or a cream tea and can also provide you with a Lasagne and salad or my infamous Chicken Bake and Green veggies, or indeed whatever else you fancy. Equally if you are celebrating something special during your stay – let us know and we will endeavour to fulfil your requests with pleasure.    The hut is suitable only for adults.
