Cosy one bedroom cottage near Glastonbury and Wells. Stunning views of the Somerset Levels towards Glastonbury Tor. Take time to rest, restore and rejuvenate in this home with all modern comforts. Perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside, an area rich with nature straight from the door by car, foot or bike. The village of Godney on the Somerset Levels is a 10 minute drive from Glastonbury and also to Wells. It is a great base to explore many other Somerset attractions. The space This cosy cottage might be small but it’s perfectly formed! The downstairs is open plan… On one side walk into a light filled kitchen with induction hob and fan oven. A wine fridge will keep your drinks at the perfect temperature. Grind your own coffee for a fresh morning brew. There is a small dining table perfect for eating or for working. Play your favourite music through the smart speaker. The other side is a cosy lounge with comfy sofa and armchair. There is a 40 inch smart TV so you can log into your streaming accounts and watch your favourite shows. Upstairs there is a large bathroom with walk in rainfall shower. And possibly the best view you could have from the loo! The bedroom has a king size bed with brand new OTTY mattress. Wake up to views of the Somerset Levels towards Glastonbury Tor. There’s plenty of space to store your clothes and a selection of books to enjoy. Outside there is a bench for you to sit and enjoy the view while spotting the wildlife (please note there is no garden) The cottage is on a country road so cars and farm vehicles do pass by. Bikes not included. Guest access The whole cottage is yours to enjoy Other things to note There is a great local pub which serves delicious food (vegan and gluten free options) within walking distance across the footpaths or a 5 minute drive. There is lots of exploring possible straight from the cottage door across local footpaths - this is an area rich with nature. The cottage is an easy level walk into Glastonbury town. Depending on your pace it would take around 40-45 minutes. In the Winter months we are just a short drive from Avalon Marshes. This is one of the best places to view the starling murmurations, a true wonder of the natural world. Mendip Hills are a 15-20 min drive - perfect for hiking. The cottage does front directly onto the country road. Passing vehicles do go by, including farm vehicles.
