An epicentre of British rock ’n’ roll in the 60s, bands such as The Who, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd played some of their first gigs; it is now a much more tranquil place, home to numerous artist studios. This luxury private flat in a converted boatyard is hard to believe until you enter. It's comprehensively furnished to guarantee your stay is nothing short of comfortable. The property features one bedroom along with an additional sofa bed nestled in the living area, catering to your needs whether you're a couple or a small family. There's a newly installed luxury shower room that even boasts its own chandelier, adding a touch of elegance to your routine. The heart of the property is the main living area that integrates the kitchen and dining area with comfortable seating. Overlooking the boatyard and the tranquil river, it offers enticing views of the mainland and the bustling town of Twickenham. The flat comes equipped with a washing machine and high-speed internet, both wired and wireless, to cater to your practical needs and ensure you stay connected. Moreover, the property offers private secure access for your peace of mind. Guest access The island is devoid of cars, and can be reached via a footbridge. There's a quick 1 to 2 minute walk from the car park to the flat. We've raised our children in this property from their birth, and the journey to the flat is quite effortless. You can access the flat from the main path, leading through a private passageway and into a quaint courtyard. The flat itself has a private entrance from this courtyard. The island exudes a safe and friendly atmosphere. The property boasts a door with a code-based entry system, along with a smart lock on the front door for added security. Additionally, the property is monitored by CCTV for further protection. Other things to note There's a public car park located at the end of the bridge is due to close in June 2025 . If you need parking, I can arrange visitor permits in advance. The cost is approximately £3.40 per day, which we charge at cost price to ensure convenience for our guests. Additionally, we have a basic selection of wines available for your enjoyment. Should you choose to indulge, we can add this to your bill. For your convenience, we also provide tea and some Nespresso coffee capsules to kickstart your day. Washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, as well as basic seasonings such as salt and pepper, are available for your use. We aim to ensure your stay is comfortable and have taken care to provide these home comforts for your benefit.
