This newly re-named, historic Schooner captain's house will be a place that your family will want to come back to year after year! Located just minutes away( walking that is!)from the charming village of Southwest Harbor and it's shops, galleries, restaurants and lobster pounds. All of Acadia National park's trails & feature( except Schoodic peninsula) are within 5-35 minutes making this a nice home base to hike & recreate from. The space This spacious inn turned vacation home has 5 bedrooms, 3- king suites, with outdoor patios or deck, 1-double, 1-queen all featuring private bathrooms. The main level of the home is completely set up for family entertainment. The kitchen is family style with double dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges and all the equipment needed to serve up family feasts! The dining table seats 8-10 with double sliding glass doors to an outdoor deck overlooking the garden area. Guest access Garden area is a shared space with 2 additional 1-bedroom apartments in a separate building . Other things to note This is a historic home so stairways are steep and narrow and bathrooms have all the basics but are rather plain and utilitarian.
