The name says it all. Windchime Villa is perched high on the mountains of St. John, with panoramic views to the east. Newly renovated, Windchime Villa offers a unique blend of privacy and seclusion and is just 7 minutes to the shops, restaurants, and town of Cruz Bay. The home features extensive outdoor areas, a large refreshing pool, and a versatile bedroom configuration that would work for multiple couples or families. The main house has a large open concept kitchen, dining and living area with huge double doors that open to both the front entry and back deck, creating an endless island breeze. Two large King en-suites (one also with four bunk beds) are located in the main house, while a separate third large King en-suite is located just steps off the main house. All bedrooms have individual A/C units. There is a large pool with surrounding deck, dining space and lounge chairs with a beautiful southeasterly Caribbean Sea view. Windchime Villa is installing a brand new, automatic switch, high-powered generator in February 2024, so our guests will never be without power. We aim to reach the highest of standards during your stay. The entire villa and surrounding yard is yours to enjoy. It is not shared with anyone else during your stay and is very private. Windchime Villa has a greeter that will meet your party upon arrival at the ferry dock or rental car business and a manager on call during the day should you require anything during your stay. Villa Windchime is located near Gifft Hill, a central location, minutes away from many popular Cruz Bay restaurants, markets, shops, hiking trails and more. We are one of the closest luxury villas to the world renowned, family friendly Windmill Bar. You will need to rent your own vehicle or arrange taxi service Beach Gear: We aim to make beach days as easy as possible for your group. Windchime Villa has plenty of folding beach chairs, coolers, a portable sunshade, pool floats/noodles, and plenty of beach towels for your use during your stay. Unrelated/Construction Noise: Windchime Villa is located on a quiet gravel street and is on a large private property which stays very quiet at almost all times. Many of our neighbors are longtime St. John residents and pride themselves on the peaceful neighborhood. We have never received a noise complaint from any of our guests! Since we cannot predict the actions of others and the construction by the government or other private properties, we cannot honor any refunds because of noise. Loss of Power: The power to the entire island of St. John comes from an underwater line from St. Thomas and is operated/controlled by WAPA (Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority). There can be sporadic planned or unplanned power outages at any time. While this is uncommon, it can be frustrating and inconvenient. Windchime had a brand new automatic commercial generator installed in the spring of 2024, which kicks on within a minute if a power outage occurs and powers the entire home. This means our guests will not experience any interruptions during their stay. Run the A/C, washer, TV and charge those phones with complete peace of mind!
