Description

The Cedar Post was built in 2021. This log cabin is one of 3 cabins located on our working cattle ranch. We are located in the heart of the Badlands, only 14 miles south of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit, and 65 miles north of the TRNP South Unit. We have miles of hiking trails or riding trails if you prefer to bring your horses. This secluded cabin has it's own private hot tub and all your modern amenities but still has that rustic feel. The space 14x32 Amish built log cabin with private bedroom and 2 beds above the bedroom in the loft. Gas flame heat and AC. Full kitchen, bathroom and lounging area. Cabin sits right on the edge of the badlands with an awesome view. Large deck with BBQ and hot tub. This cabin is the closest to Lone Butte (200 yards away) and has a concrete bench out in the clearing for viewing wildlife and watching the sunset. The nearest cabin is out of sight and about 1/8 from the Juniper Ridge Cabin and over 1/4 mile from the Horseshoe Cabin. We don't have permanent horse corrals at this cabin yet, but there is a water hydrant and we will put up portable corrals if you decide to bring horses. Other things to note Our cows are around from October 15 to June 1. Outside of these dates, there are usually no cows in this section as they are in their summer pastures. Calving is March 25-May 25, so please give cows their space when they have babies. Dogs should be kept away from cows at all times. We have snow plows and will keep the roads open if possible, but 4WD vehicles are recommended during the winter months if we have snow. We do have rural water that's good to drink and fast fiber optic internet.
