The Cabin at North Down Farm

New in 2023 the Cabin at North Down Farm is an idyllic holiday cottage that is as stunning on the inside as it is on the outside. With outstanding views from your own decking this cool holiday home for two is the ideal spot for an escape to the country. The space Step inside and you'll discover beautiful interiors inspired by the colours of the Somerset countryside, cosy wood burner, sumptuous sofa and gorgeous wrought iron king-size bed. This welcoming cabin is a lovely space with, comfy green velvet sofa, countryside views and a Smart TV. For non-electrical entertainment, there's some good old-fashioned board games, playing cards and a number of books. The fully functioning kitchen with beautiful wooden worktop and hand made taps includes an Everhot stove, providing not only heating but multi tasking as an oven. Sleeping two, there is a king-size wrought iron bed with British made pocket sprung mattress filled with all natural fibers and White Company linens and stylish cushions. Outside you have full use of your own decking with the most stunning views down a private valley to the Quantock hills in the distance, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening drinks. Set on the edge of Exmoor just outside of Wiveliscombe this is a glorious spot is the perfect location for a wonderful escape. A huge draw for walkers and cyclists Exmoor and the Quantocks are in easy reach and the North Somerset coast just 25 minutes away. Located just inside a designated 'Dark Skies Area' The Cabin is the perfect place to star gaze as an expert astronomer or just appreciate the spectacular night sky. We can accommodate up to six guests in total at North Down Farm, when The Cabin is booked in conjunction with our Shepherds Hut, sleeping four. Guest access The Cabin, part of the field in front of the cabin (from which there are wonderful views) and the decking. Other things to note Whilst a peaceful setting guests should note that The Cabin is on a working farm on which there is also a game shoot with regular days September - January. The cabin is located opposite the farm house, overlooking the valley. We also have a Labrador called Fred and two primary school aged boys. We welcome one well behaved dog
