The Cob House is a one-of-a-kind, hand-built retreat crafted from sand, clay, and straw, just like they did centuries ago. This cozy, retreat offers a peaceful escape into nature with all the comfort & privacy you need to unwind. Inside, with a queen-sized bed, a AC/Heater and coffee & tea & snacks. The private deck is clothing-optional. The hot tub to soak under the stars. Between each stay, the space is saged to refresh the energy and welcome you anew. Come as you are. Leave feeling renewed. The space Just a quick update! 😊 We’ve made some exciting upgrades to elevate your stay. The bathroom now features a standard flushing toilet (we previously had an incinerator toilet), so everything feels familiar, fresh, and odor-free. For year-round comfort, we’ve added a ductless heater/AC and a dual-zone heated mattress pad, perfect for cozy winter nights. The hot tub has also been fully refreshed with a repaired temperature sensor and is professionally cleaned every Thursday, so it’s always ready for a relaxing soak. Privacy is paramount so you will not hear from us and welcome to come and go as you please. If you need anything at all, or have questions, please reach out! **We recommend bringing water shoes (such as Crocs or flip-flops), especially in winter, as they’ll make walking to and from the outdoor shower and hot tub much more comfortable.** Nestled on a private estate where lush gardens meet big skies, The Cob House feels like a secret hideaway made for two. Surrounded by swaying banana trees, vibrant flowers, and green vegetation, this enchanting retreat invites you to breathe deeply, slow down, and savor the moment. Wander hand in hand to the nearby Buena Vista House, where you’ll find the bottom floor of the home the common area; to play games, make coffee/tea. Explore and enjoy wine at charming local vineyards, or simply stay tucked away in your own little world. Here, every detail whispers serenity & the perfect backdrop for romance, reconnection, and unforgettable memories. Please note: while there are two other units on the property, your spaces remain entirely your own. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the shared courtyard and side yard, which feature outdoor games and inviting spots to gather. Guest access You will have the Cob House all to yourself but you are more then welcome to explore the grounds and you will have full access to the courtyard & the side yard with yard games etc & also the bottom floor to the Buena Vista House there is more games and books and fun nostalgia things to look at. This bottom floor will be open to you until we make it a private unit of itself which will be coming soon. Other things to note We now allow pets Woof woof
