Relax with family at the river! A one-level log cabin nestled in the rolling hills of Rock Island, our retreat offers so much to do! Enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming, boating, hiking, or covered porch sitting in nature! Conveniently located 10 minutes from general stores and restaurants, and 20 minutes from the nearest large town. Stylishly decorated to be a cozy retreat inside, a 3/4 wrap around porch offers stunning views from all angles. We love this place so much and hope you will too! The space With 3 bedrooms and 4 beds, this cabin offers enough space for the whole family! Sleeping 7 comfortably in private bedrooms, the cabin features one king size bed in bedroom with private full bathroom, tub and shower. One private queen size bedroom, and one bedroom with a queen and twin size bed. We also offer beds-in-a-bag for sofa sleeping in common areas, maxing out occupancy to 11. The sofas in the common area den/tv room and also in the living room are both oversized sectionals where comfortable sleeping is definitely possible and sometimes preferred. Guest access The entire house and surroundings of the property can be enjoyed with the exception of the outbuildings which are not available to guests for safety reasons. Enjoy 5 acres of nature, trees, wildlife and of course private river access for fishing, swimming and water sports on a calm Collins River. Other things to note This property is located on the beautiful Collins River, which is ideal for calm waters and great fishing. Low traffic from boats and a generous shore frontage provide great access to the water, along with the stationary dock as well as the seasonal floating dock. Please note that because we are above the dam, the floating dock is only accessible during certain times of the year when the water is high enough to float it, and should be avoided when it is not in the water and dry docked on the shore. Access to the stationary dock is available year-round and is encouraged for great views, and an incredible river experience, no matter what season.
